I guess with playing time they might get better. But frankly, I am sick and tired of potential. We need proven players now.
I've come to appreciate that potential is a very dangerous word in the big Arsenal book of words wherein lies other words and phrases of dubious meaning such as ' sustainable ' and ' growing success '. Potential has as we have seen ended up costing us mega bucks with money thrown down the drain on having to play players whom nobody wants like Denilson, Squillaci, Almunia et al. Still though it appears to be part of our egghead CEO's grand sustainable model.
Kosc has good reading of the game imo. And he has been our best player after RVP this season for me. I have no idea how people can slate Kosc and it's clear Verm isn't back to his best so again not sure of the abuse. Jayram i try to take what u say as reasonable argument but your just on a different level of negativity to anything i have ever seen. It's ridiculous...
@totsfan - Hazard prefers you guys? I assume your taking this idea from the interview in which Hazard was specificaly asked if he would go and play for spurs and said he would like to play in England? So basically the complete nonsense story?
Apparently spurs where talking to Agueros people as well it didnt mean there was any chance of that transfer ever happening did it...
I agree with the person who said the germans have the best international side. They are far stronger no than they were 2 years ago, and they battered spain not long ago. Right, on the topic of german players i'd like at Arsenal, here goes (it's a pretty lengthy list) Mats Hummels Mario Goetze Thomas Muller Patrick Herrmann Marcel Schmelzer (we need a LB) Sven/Lars Bender (proper DM's) Andre Schurrle Benedikt Howedes Toni Kroos Lewis Holtby i'll think of more later.
Add a few unrealistic targets to make it fun! Mario Gomez (Possible, you know) Lukas Podolski Bastien Schweinsteiger (Unlikely, but WHAT A SIGNING HE WOULD BE!)
A lot of this relies on the 'Players would rather play for Arsenal than Bayern' well a lot IMO depends on where they are in the Bundesliga... *checks Bundesliga table* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Nope, Dortmund are first! Bayern Second. I think Dortmund doesn't have as much prestige as Bayern, though, in the same way that Chelsea doesn't as Liverpool even though Chelsea have won more trophies recently. Still, if Dortmund retain the Bundesliga, they become a very, very attractive team, especially now that Germany takes the fourth champions league spot from Italy.
However, in Italy, where they're losing that champions league spot... Fiorentina are 11th... They got a couple players we should try and sign. Stevan Jovetic, top young striker. Maybe Juan Manuel Vargas too.
