There is one clown on the Echo site proclaiming that only -10 is something to celebrate! Little wonder we get exasperated with the blue phew! laughatascummer, is he for real or just another WUM.
Players and staff from Portsmouth FC visited a local children's hospital over the Christmas period. "It's nice to put a smile on the faces of those who are worse off than we are and who are facing a long uphill struggle," said David Wilson aged 6.
Of course he's a WUM. I saw a post on the News site one day, from a Saints fan welcoming other Saints fans to the site and explaining all the protocols. What was absolutely clear from that post (I so wish I'd copied it) was that the News and the Echo sites are the "virtual punch-up" sites. Both sets of fans know exactly who each other are and what they are up to. Just before the Hull game some intelligent Saints fans posted on the News showing solidarity - they were treated with respect. Doesn't take long to work out who is who.
**** me, only 10 points? The scum yet again are dealt upon favourably. Fishy c*nts. Cannot wait for us to smash them at St Mary's.
If gas and electric companies cut off there supply as Portsmouth can't pay the bills, does that mean they couldn't host matches? If so, would they get another points deduction?
Nottm Forest v Portsmouth on the last day of the season could be interesting now - if Pompey are still with us
Now that they are in admin, their administrator can access the 2 million in their bank account and come to some deal with the gas and leccy. Did you notice that they couldn't even set off in their coach until the administrator guaranteed payment?
It is always difficult to tell whether they are so fanatical that they cannot control themselves, or just non fans that want to be a nuisance.
The points deduction has made the relegation zone more interesting. I still think Portsmouth will pull themselves out of it, but it has given fresh hope to the three teams at the bottom. Bet they really wanted a 15 point deduction!
A few points re the 10 point deduction. The last time Pompey went into admin they were in the Premier League whereby they were deducted 9 points as per the premier league rules. As they have now dropped into the Football league, would this count as the first time (1999 or whenever it was excluded) the Football League have had to deal with Pompey, so the precedent set with Luton and Bournemouth would not be relevant. The league may have seen what the heavy reduction done to Luton Town and want to avoid a repeat of this as it has a detrimental effect on the league. Losing a long established member of the 92 club community and their core support impacts the league financially as those clubs that have replaced them are not as "big" and don't have the same core support. Also, maybe the league have now taken the impact on such a deduction on the fans into consideration and want to avoid a similar situation. As others have said, the league may feel partially responsible for allowing the succession of Pompey owners through their fit and proper person tests. However it could be argued that it is the clubs responsibility or that of the administrator to fully check the credentials of someone taking ownership of the club. Then again if those people are trying to get shot of the club are they just interested in the initial investment they don't really care about what happens after. I am sure Chanari is just looking to get the most he can from any new investor and won't really care what heppens to Pompey after he's got his cash. Finally, does a 10 point deduction now, just make the bottom of the league more interesting from a footballing point of view. It was looking that the relegation places were pretty much done and dusted. Now with Pompey brought into the mire it makes it all to play for down there, improved gate receipts, coverage etc for the league?
"And, although Pompey are set to be docked 10 points for going into administation, they could lose further points at the discretion of the Football League as a result of it happening for the second time in such a short period of time." From the BBC site http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16943651
I reckon West Brom, Wolves & Bristol City should make offers that are too good to turn down, for the loan of their best players, then renege on payments and tell them to take it out of what they owe them.
I notice that we are no longer listed as a creditor, so there may be truth in the story that Cortese waived the £25,000 we were owed from the FA Cup match saying we didn't need the money. Or Pompey paid us (sorry just split my sides laughing there). P.s. unless the list of creditors is only a new list and we are still in the previous list.
