Picked out my 5 for the comp and put a Lucky 31 on: 2.10 Haydock Real Milan - very, VERY impressed by him - looks an absolute natural 2.45 Haydock Featherbed Lane - banker material 1.50 Ascot Invictus - valid excuse for his poor run last time (spread a plate) and could cause a surprise at a nice price 3.00 Ascot Riverside Theatre - class horse of the race, goes well fresh 3.35 Ascot Smad Place - awesome last time out and a 7lbs rise is workable
Our Guinea Pigs (2 males) are full of the joys of spring - all horny and nowhere to go, squeaking like mad things ................. poor feckers
Oddy just noticed Invictus running over 3m- perhaps a few penneth on at large odds on Betfair for the RSA, as cover?
He jumps and travels like a dream Toppy, I think he might well surprise a few tomorrow. Worth a couple of quid on Betfair - what price for the RSA? Let's see if I can win some stake money for tomorrow - Almadaa in the next at Dundalk
Interesting ................. Alan King is chasing that 60 grand bonus with him from Plumpton racecourse
Fellas - I know we are heading to Chelts soon but on a different topic - can anyone see any horse giving Frankel a run for its money this year ?? He will start off in the Lockinge but which one of O'Briens will he face - So You Think which apparently drops down in distance this year or Excelebration who got thumped 3 times by 10 1/2 lengths combined last year ?? Will he stay 1 m 2 - I think so and Sir Henry is confident he will - thoughts ??
Best flat horse I've ever seen mate - a true monster. His stride length and power just blows his opponents away. Whatever they say about Canford Cliffs, the way Frankel slammed him at Goodwood was sensational. I'd love to see Black Caviar take him on mind, she is also a freak of nature.
I agree about the clash with Black Caviar - but she has just got to 7f and looks like the freak is going upto 10 furlongs. I think - (and it is a big if) if he were to win say the eclipse easily and going away - why not try the King George because if he does settle even better as a 4 year old , with that raw power and stride who is to say he could'nt get 1m 4f ?? Let's see him win the Lockinge first hopefully nice and easy !!!
Hopefully he'll go Lockinge, Queen Anne (v. Black Caviar) then Eclipse. That Queen Anne would be the race of the century (so far)
