So this Saturday sees the Shrews take as trip down to Norf Larndan to play Izale McCleod. Underhill is not a ground where the Shrews have really had much success in recent years, and Barnet have been boosted by the excellent form of Mark Marshall and of course Jesus himself: Izale McCleod. However, Marshall failed a drugs test (I believe) and so won't be troubling us this time after ripping our defence to tatters in an excellent match up earlier in the season. Barnet in fairness were one of the better teams to play us at home this season; Swansea came, saw and were conquered 3-1. Wimbledon, Plymouth and Northampton all came and got a point. Tossers. Typical Town that we can beat so many teams at home and then draw with two of the three worst teams in the league and one other mid-table outfit. They are in decent form, and it will be a test. Lenny's GRANDISON Fact: Jermaine Grandison is the president of 62 countries, including Mexico, France and Ecuador. Lenny's Prediction: Barnet 1-2 Shrewsbury (Collins and Morgan, attendance 2401)
Yes, Lenny - Barnet (and Marshall in particular) played really well in the second half of that game. We have not done that well at Underhill over the years but I do not believe in jinxes and we are good enough to win on Saturday if we play well. I would like Morgan to play upfront with Collins - despite Marvin's faults in front of goal he is a real warrior who puts the opposition under pressure. I hope we go there with two wingers and Wroe in midfield to make a positive attacking statement. This league is much more competitive than last year and we need three points away to teams in the lower half of the table if we are to stay in the mix. With three away games coming up in the next four (and the home game being against Crawley) this is a vital spell for us - unless we improve upon our away form we could be detached from the top three by the middle of March. If we do well over those four games, continuing our excellent home form (with only few away games left) should be enough to seal automatic promotion. The alternative of the play-offs (again!) is too awful to contemplate.
this is a sixpointer if we are to stay with the rat pack. a lot will depend if the lads up front are sexy and up for it. they on a 3 course menu of oysters, so if they are fired up i predict a 2-0 loggerheads day wright and wroe. it is possible a few of the regulars may be rested to tackle the rotties on tuesday, when we shall need more than oysters up front. libido's are go, floreat salopia! another good one lenny!

delighted to hear young tom's news, let us hope he gets a game and more international experience, he may well be needed to help our run in, especially if he can make and score goals, which would make him a shrews collectors item, a striker who can score goals. wow and the chance to visit one of the fleshpots of europe. paris rome, madrid athens no, but wrexham that welsh lido spa. good luck tom, steady with that night life up there that barbed comment is meant to gee up those who need geeing up and excludes young jamie. come on you shrews, breath on 'em, floreat salopia. those going to barnet be prepared for a very wet day, but mild.
Barnet 2-1 Shrews (McLeod pen,Kamdjo, Collins) We have a -100% record for my away games (lost every single last one) and Underhill is a difficult place to go, less because of the team than the conditions. Hopeuflly i'll still be there mind
Or even give Wildig a run out? I think he will be inclined go for the same starting XI as Torquay myself, although I could see him playing this team: -----------------------Neal------------------------- --Grandison------SCS-------Sharps-----------JJ----- ---------------Richards----Wroe--------------------- --Taylor-----------Sawyers------------------Wright-- ---------------------Collins-------------------------- Which I'd prefer (but with Ainsworth for Taylor, can't see any chance of that though!). Play Goldson at RB if SCS still isn't fit with Grandison in the middle, or, failing that, Regan at RB again.
----------------Neal Regan---Sharps----Grandison----Jacobson Wildig?-------Wroe-------Richards -----------Sawyers? -------Morgan----Collins Wildig might very well be McAllister, I think his performance on Tuesday might see him dropped though. SCS is too much of a risk with his shoulder.
Forgot about Morgan. I think he'd be good out wide in a 4-3-3; his pace, ability on the ball and willingness to run at players frighten defenders, and he often drifts out wide when playing centrally. His profligacy would be less obvious and less to the detriment of the team there, and he wins fewer headers than someone of his height should - so we won't lose that from our forward line!
We could see a 4-4-1-1 with Sawyers sat behind Collins, or a 4-3-2-1 with Collins up front, three midfielders and wright and A.Nother winger. Barnet 1 v 2 Shrewsbury Collins Wroe 2900 Come on you blues
Unchanged from the Brizzle game in the end, SCS has stood on some glass according to B&A and needs stitches in his foot, so Morgan replaces him on the bench. ---------------------Neal----------------------- -Regan------Grandison---Sharps-----Jacobson--- --Taylor---D.McAllister--Richards-----Wright----- ---------------Collins---Gornell------------------ Subs: Smith Sawyers Ainsworth Wroe Morgan
