Only Sean Murray, unless SD is playing games.

So it would seem, but who? Is Troy's worse than first thought? <yikes>

When I saw this on twitter, my first thought was that SD is going to blood him at Palace on Saturday.

Remember we had no striker on the bench against Leicester and neither Garner or Big Chris did that well...

I wonder if it is more a precaution. It seems that SD likes to give players the extra game when coming back from hamstring injuries.

we desperately need a striker, with or without Troy...i suspect we've failed in the loan market, which isn't great...:(

Just got a copy of today's Wobby. Quite a lot from Bassini, including what the Observer are presenting as a firm commitment to knock the East stand down this summer.

Time will tell I guess, but in fairness to Bassini my reading of what he is saying is that he is hopeful of starting on the East Stand this year, but very confident the South West corner to be ready for the start of next season. That's the timescale I expect based on what he has said. Starting the East Stand in 2012 would be a bonus if the SW corner is finally sorted out.

He also says the Red Lion will be open for business "in two or three weeks".

In on-field news, Dyche doesn't seem to think Deeney or Murray will play against Palace. When he talks about injuries he doesn't tend to play games, so I assume the wingers will be Yeates/Forsyth and Catch-a-ni-clitch, and the strikers will be two of Garner, Iwelumo and Massey.

In my opinion Iwelumo and Massey is a combination worth trying, but I'd be very surprised if Garner is the one to miss out.

Finally (and I think this was worth a triple post), Bassini was non-committal about whether Saracens will be here next season. However the Watford Observer give the fees we got from Saracens last season at a very precise £581,000. They say that the fees we receive this season should be worth £100k more than that, and Bassini claims that this combined with a bigger cut of Saracens matchday revenue should take the total amount this season to around £900k.

I know that there is more to follow on the web site, and in there will be some about the SW corner.

"This summer the Vicarage Road pitch should be relaid, at a cost of £1m.
Bassini hopes to start re-building the South-West corner in four month's
time, although it may be more than double that, and said it will cost
    around £2.8m."

So every time he talks about it the SW corner goes back in time. After the season ends now, or well into next season. I think the relevant word is "hopes"

Without me appearing stupid but logisticly doesn't the SW corner shell require to be finished before they start demoliting the old main stand?

Otherwise there would be nowhere to change etc. surely?

I seem to remember someone wondering why the Red Lion was being delayed. The reasons given in the WO today were that squatters had caused damage, the floors had been taken up and copper pipes had been stolen adn there was also a problem with a tree.

Yes I did wonder what was behind the delay. I think though that I would have been in and seen the state of it before giving dates.
