after the small matter of barnet and swindon away and the creepies at home our run in appears to be away, crewe ,plym, morecambe, maccs, ackers, and wombles==. home. oxon, brewers, chelt, shots, bantams millers, and daggers. now have i missed anyone out.the next 3 games are awkward, well 2 of them are. 6 out of 9 points would be great

    Atcham,
You are dead right - if we can come out of the next four games (three away) within a couple of points off the top and considering we then have a lot more home games than away games left we will be in very good shape for a push for the automatics. I do not think Torquay can keep up their brilliant recent form and with Cheltenham and Southend faltering slightly I would predict that we will go up along with Crawley and Swindon. What we be the odds that none of the top three in the middle of February would go up automatically? Looking at the table that could well happen this year.

its anybodies guess some teams are going through a bad patch and others are picking up, so long as we keep trudging thease results out i think we will be ok, well at least for the play offs, i would also like to see us score more goals too

I think Swindon are going up. Sadly. There are no two ways about it, they have a large, talented squad, bags of cash and have been sensational at home this season (just not quite as good as us!). They are on a great run of form and I think it's widely accepted that this league is their's to lose. The other five teams are fighting it out for the next two auto spots IMO, and I think that we and Crawley are the best equipped to go up. If we can sort out our away form and get it like it was at the tail end of last season whilst maintaining our home record, then auto promotion is there. That's a massive if though.

Swindon are the ones to beat at the moment. If come away from them with at least a point then I will be happy.

Pre-season I had said Crawley would go up as Champs, but gotta say I now have a feeling they may miss out on the Autos (along with Southend).

IMO Swindon, Cheltenham & Salop to make the Autos, with two points separating all three clubs. Goal difference will play a massive part as going into the final game of the season, six clubs will be in with a shout.

In other words, one hell of a weekend of football! :)

I reckon Torquay have good chance. Stingy defence, two stars in the middle in Mansell and O'Kane and a great run of form with victories over us, Cheltenham and Swindon will make them hard to beat. On paper I think they have the weakest squad of the top 6 but a great run of form does a lot for your confidence and therefore your results - just look at our home form and away form for example.

do not agree on cheltenham going up they are being propped up in the autos by fresh air and other teams losing. their last few results have been diabolical, losing at home to the gas 2-0 as an example . others have said swindon crawley and shrews, i say that as well and in that order. but goal difference is everything to give us an auto place. if shrews are left fannying around in the playoffs then shrews bad luck that ruddy awful badge gets a chance to compete, and we do not want that or any bottling out. so keep the pressure on lads
