Reality check here - buying a strip is what being a supporter is about? Please!

That makes the plastics who follow Chelski, ManOil and ManUre real fans...

Being a supporter is about following the team and feeling pain when they lose, being elated when they win and frustrated when they draw. The strip is **** all to do with it.

I vowed never to go to another England game after the Greece game at Old Trafford (Think Beckham free kick)

I have never witnessed such racist, abusive and thick fans in all my life.

A good % of England fans fall into this category and we play bland football - I personally don't want to be associated with that.

    Scouse not English!

I think we shouldn't fall out altogether over this - Scouse before English sounds better...

I think you should probably go back and read my post and the quote that i'm responding too pal.

My comment wasn't directed at buying a shirt!! It was about MITO's comments about following a team who always fail in big competitions.

I support England if N Ireland aren't in the comp (I'm half of each, ) generally not wise to wear the strip here, equally hated in general on both sides of the camp.

I've only ever owned one Liverpool top which was worn once. I finally bit the bullet & bought it for the 96 FA cup final. We lost; wasn't sure if it was the players white suits or me in the top so never wore it again! :D

Better for you maybe StJohn but not me. I want nothing to do with them, their corrupt governing body, fans, manager or blinkered / bent journalists - especially in light of recent events.

    f*ck the lot of them.

you can't change opinions by ignoring them - you have to educate them.

You can't convince an idiot, only a wise man may be swayed...

Remember the fat, sweating face of Mike Ashley leering at you every time you put your hand in your pocket at JD Sport. Know you are funding the Newcastle efforts.

Then order everything online at our club shop instead...<ok>

I can't believe this thread is still in existence, albeit the virtual variety. England cricket only. Oh and of course, THE MIGHTY REDS <ok>

Surprisingly, it seems most sport teams keep the same jersey for a long period of time, granted most sports here don't have sponsors on them, but off the top of my head, only the Galaxy semi-regularly change their tops. That most likely has to do with the number of Jersey sales of Beckham, Donovan, and Keane. I bet we'll get a new Jersey for the 2014 world cup, but we'll be stuck with sashes until then. <wah>

On topic, it's pretty ****ing stupid that they're switching tops after 8 games. Imagine a club team getting new ones 4-5 times a season. <yikes>

Meh, it's 12.3%... Also, if I buy anything at the club shop it will fund us paying over the odds for a Newcastle player

so either way my money ends up in Mike Ashely's pocket
