Stoke line up

Alot of articles made on this but i want a final answer, and i would like each person to post their line ups without Barton, Jonas, Enrique and Ireland.

I was going to put Shola on but i keep on telling myself, were never going to win a physical battle with Stoke, we need to play creative football and take our chanes. Best is in good form and i'll keep him on.

I think Ranger and Shola should but be used as impact subs, as they both seem to do much better coming off the bench.

This line up is well paced, with a strong defence at the back. I think this could work vs Stoke.

I said WITHOUT Enrique. Also i put Lovenkrands there as a LAM not a LW. Simpson and Ferguson will act as left wing backs, to support our attack on the wings.

My one would be a flexible 5-3-2 which can transform into a 352 when defending.

Is your one.. a 5131 sort of thing?

 

we need to be able to contend with delaps long throws so the defence is sound.

Reckon the 5-3-2 is best less likely to lump it to the wings and give away throws in own half

Tash didn't you write an article recently saying you don't think we should play Tiote against Stoke?

 

Yes but i took on board a great point that he could be much more usefull against Stoke than most other teams. We don't need him to beat Wolves and Villa.

 

Cool. I am not sure about Lover on the wing, but other than that, I pretty much agree with your team.

loven is a natural left sided player, thats why he's so piss weak on the right, more effective as a left winger.

Agree with this, but Ferguson in for Enrique if hes still injured.

Kuqi and Lovenkrands are dog ****e and shouldnt be allowed near the starting lineup unless its absolutely necessary.

i know hes not really a winger, but can play on the left if needed, and as it happens he may be needed

He can play there in the sense that Nolan can play left back, he just isnt up to it though. If you watch him on the wing he cant beat a man or put much of a cross in, and cant play on the other side and cut in either. I would avoid Lover on the wing at all costs.

Although apparently Gutierrez will be fit and Pardew is considering playing him (or Ferguson) at LB. Doesnt say much for Perch's future.

 

What are peoples opinions about trying out Ranger on the right wing? He's certainly got the pace for it and could cause problems there I feel.
