That's in the past, the modern day game has moved on with more of a concentration on the football and skills than physicality and retribution towards other players. Curbs was very much against these sorts of incidents whether from opposition or our own players and fairness applies to both teams.
Changing the subject slightly, but still about fair-play - When we were holding on for 3 points on Tuesday after they scored, we still played on and went for another goal. There was no blatant time-wasting. No taking the piss. That is a mark of how fair-minded and sporting our team is. A real Chris Powell outfit to be proud of. As for Kermit, he gives as good as he gets. This is League One, not the Tunbridge Wells Under 17s netball league... Not that I watch much of that, anymore.
It's like they don't want anyone watching their bleedin' netball games these days! I had to climb over an eight foot fence and evade a security guard just to get a glimpse of the East Grinstead defender's chest-pass. Bloody impressive stuff!
