Seems he's whinging about lack of opportunity at Chelsea. Can someone remind him he's not being paid to whinge, but to play wherever he's told? Talk about running before you can walk. He should be doing some of that running in defence, instead of strutting around like Joe Cole did pre Mouhrino. Joe's career was reignited when he upped his efforts and tracked back, following a large Mourinho size 9 up the clacker. Sturridge needs some of the same.
AVB has enough problems without this petulant poser sulking in the corner.

He's contracted to Chelsea until 2014 and I'm sure its just newspaper or agent trying to negotiate a bigger percentage.

If he puts his mind to the job in hand and scores goals until the end of the season then he will be able to demand a pay rise from a position of strength, as in any job. If all he does is walk around moaning and putting in crap performances then he has no bargaining power.
What employer would give a wage rise to a pathetic whinger who doesn't do his job properly.

Definitely media hype fellas <ok>. He's said something and it's been taken wayyyy out of context, I saw an interview with him at the start of the season and he said he sees his future here <ok>.

If Torres continues the way he is, he'll be in the middle soon enough!

Don't know, Chelsea have never suited two up front during the Abramovic era (Gudjohnsen and co an exception).

I think AVB will be playing Drogba imminently.

He deserved a shot in the middle 3 games ago. With Drog back that chance might be gone for this season.

Sturridge should be playing in the middle now. Haven't got the foggiest why Torres is a head of him who has done sod all in terms of scoring for us. Torres can't even score with creative players Silva, Fabregas, Xavi, Alonso and Iniesta in midfield for Spain.

You're all correct, it is time to give him a go up front, and FA may just be the right time to do it. Remember Eider towards the end of his time with us, he was playing deeper, almost midfield, and looking as good as ever. I thought he had the makings of a good midfielder as he slowed a bit. Maybe we should try Sturridge more central, just off Torres ( or Drogs ).We all agree the personnel should be changed, it's probably time to change the formation a bit as well ??

I think Sturridge though a class player is also a lazy twat that needs to be talked to, but the story is bollocks anyway. Only reported in Daily Mail and the Sun. "oooooh so reliable"

Another Agent trying to up his percentage ?? As Blueman says, score some more goals, he'll get a pay rise because he's earned it." Earned" is not a word some of our players like.
Give him a boot up the clacker anyway, he's 20, he must have done something to deserve it !!!!!

He wants the strikers role! We've splashed out £50m on one, in addition to already having one of the most potent strikers the PL has ever seen. Young Sturridge needs to learn that, he's still learning the ropes and his day will come! In the meantime he would be well advised to button his lip and earn the right to the position through hard work and perseverance!
