Finding this quite humorous now with their whole situation. They only have themselves to blame.

They - as in management and players.

    Let's see.

    1) wish death upon us, celebrate when we went into admin, show no sympathy
    2) show vitriol and hatred towards us at every opportunity
    3) boo and jeer during the minutes silence for ted bates
    4) throw rocks at us at FP and SMS/the old dell on numerous occasions
    5) trade insolvent and be allowed to beat us 4-1 (do you remember how humiliating that was?)

What? You mean like your doing now? Face it, a portion of every club's supporters have idiots who dont care one jot about other peoples feelings and will gloat about any problems their rival team faces and wish them ill. You have absolutely no grounds to criticise others for wishing your club went out of business when your doing exactly the same thing. Additionally on the hatred and vitriol front. I have never seen you say one single thing that was even neutral towards Portsmouth, every single one of your posts which concern Pompey have been filled with hatred.

Which I will not condone. However those Portmsouth "fans" that booed and jeered during that silence were widely criticised by the Portsmouth Football Club and other Portsmouth Fan as well as the media so dont act as if that was every Portsmouth fan who did it or that it was done with the blessing of the club

And I suppose Southampton fans never threw anything at Portsmouth fans on any occaison that the teams ever played each other. Not even in the hooligan filled days of the 1970's and 1980's. I'm sure we'd all wish the world was full of more Gentleman Jim types but unfortunately its more heavilly filled with Roy Keane types.

So your bitter, basically. OK, trading insolvent bit was bad and we all accept the club was in the wrong but we were hardly "allowed" to beat you 4-1. You lost that game fair and square. Assuming your talking about the more recent game, you had your chances to win and didn't take them. You can't blame that on Pompey.

Well, we can given that your team that day was full of players you couldn't afford and players who were recently signed who shouldn't have been allowed to due to your financial position. When we were in a similar position, we cut our cloth accordingly, employed a succession of managers on a pittance and played kids such as Lloyd James, Simon Gillett and Mathew Paterson whilst selling all sellable assets for a pittance like Chris Baird and Andrew Surman etc... We didn't simply sign up loads of free agents and loan signings, ploughing ourselves in to further debt on wages we could not afford.

I have sympathy for Pompey fans as if the right thing is done, they will no longer have a club to support. The fact that we all know the FA won't let this happen is what is making us feel bitter towards you as there has not been one point were Pompey have even tried to cut their cloth accordingly. I think that is understandable, is it not?

Guys and gals what ever the right or wrong of the past .......it is that.....in the past...........You criticise the Pompey fans for their rudeness and vitriolic gestures. Yet do the same.....Two wrongs do not make a right.....either way.
The fact whether Pompey survive or not, is nothing to do with their fans. No doubt a few people would like to see Pompey cease to exist......but the vast majority of saints fans don't want to see it. You are right about Pompey and cutting their cloth which is why it is so touch and go with the authorities. You use the term getting away with it.........I somehow doubt that is true just look at the state of the club and the fans. The not knowing, the ups and downs of daily life, can't even pay for a scan on one of their players. Saints fans, you know what it is like not to know whether your beloved club is going to be in existence in a few weeks time. Have a bit of compassion for goodness sake.........it ain't the Fans fault!!

So Pompey find themselves right back in the mire so soon after coming through the the first dose of administration just a couple of years ago, and they are just about to appoint the same poor performing administrators again, unbelievable! Also, when you consider all the money that has passed through the club over their Premiership years it beggars belief that a) they have gone bust, & b) there has been little or no investment in the infrastructure of the club. Lets face it Fratton Park is just like stepping back into the 60's. So where has all the money gone? This is all very shady indeed; a lot of people have got fat on the proceeds along the way, and Pompey have nothing left to show for it, only debt and disaffected, let down supporters.
OK Pompey may be our arch rivals, always have been, always will be; but if the only way we can get one over on them is by them going out of business then in my opinion it will be a very sad day for all concerned. Lets hope that they are able to pull through, and root out the evil within once and for all. Let us no forget where we were just a few short years ago! Memories are very convenient.

Then Chelsea have never won the Premier League fairly, Man City's current successes aren't fair and anything Rangers did in last few seasons was not fair. In the history of football it has been a time honored tradition for clubs to spend more than they actually have in persuit of trophies. Its nothing new or unique to Portsmouth. And the fact remains that in that game you have more opportunies to score than Portmouth did, Lambert appeared to be the most dangerous man on the pitch and looked likely to score every time you attacked and if he had not been taking the corners and free kicks you might have won. You had more than enough chances to win that game - regardless of whatever team Portsmouth had - and you didn't take them. Being bitter about a defeat you suffered a couple of season ago because your team then didn't have the cutting edge it has now is meaningless.

I admit the club's policy has been wrong. For the last few season's all I have wanted of them is survival and development of youth but they've gone out and bought players in. I dont condone that and can understand why other fans would have no sympathy for the club and I dont expect any. One of the main points I have been critical of Portsmouth about since 2002 was failure to develop youth, if they had done that rather follow the Redknapp pattern of buying established top league players every season for millions on high wages we wouldn't have been in this mess in the first place.

I posted this in the Ipswich forum a couple of days ago after Pompey's game with them:

"I did some math the other day on the known amount of money spent and recieved by Portsmouth from 2002/2003 season to 2009/2010 season. It came to approximately £125,620,000 spent and £115,920,000 recieved, which makes a loss of £9,700,000 and that's not including wages, bonuses or sell on fees. Which just goes to show you how badly Portsmouth was run in its Premier League days."

So its no mystery where the money went. It was chucked down the drain by a succession of owners who never put any asside for investment in the club and facilities but let it all to be spent on the team.

Yes, I want Pompey to lose 10 points because that is the punishment for being in administration (which presumably will happen today), I would like something bad to happen to their previous owners (but it won't) and I would like them to look on in envy as we rise ever more above them, but disappear for ever...no. Most of their fans are like us..they support their team and smirk when we lose, but very few are complete idiots (about the same proportion as us I would guess).
If they finish this season, I expect Pompey to avoid relegation even with the 10 points deduction as they are still getting the odd wins.
