Unfortunately i am not able to go Yorkie. If i had known you were going i could have given your t-shirt to H who is likely to go, and she could have passed it one and collected the money. Are you going to any other games? If so i will make sure i have it with me.

morning all! the second 4am-ish on the trot for me so i'm knackered! Thanks for the much needed caramel latte Ak! Had the school mums round for dinner last night, it was a fun night :)...

Off to buy a telly this afternooon, quite enjoying my 3 days off so far! We have sky but the girls (well, one in particular) is so fed up of us watching sport all the time that we're getting another sky box...or maybe netflix..which should cope with the problem admirably! I do love buying new technology :).

My studies are going fairly well, i think i should be ready for Saturday, though i'll still be panicking by tomorrow! lol

Afternoon all another frustrating evening at work with no time on the Board:( Also the idiotic phone calls I get at stupid 'o' clock<grr> How certain Units expect me to organise flights to destinations for freight when the flights only go 3 times a week. Also people expect flights for people, when they know as they are actually at the location 'Nairobi' that if they miss the morning flight, the next flight is not till late at night<grr> But still they try!!! Aaargghhhh. Still it could be worse I might still have another 2 nightshifts to do, oh yeah I have<laugh> " the voice in my head is telling me to go to my happy place" So I am off<laugh>

You mean that you don't have hourly flights leaving from every airfield in the world, shame on you!!! <laugh> Do the same people also expect in flight meals and entertainment, even on transports???

Afternoon all, The electricity company warned us that we would be without a supply this morning, so an early start to make sure that we at least had one cup of tea before it went off. Seeing as we could not do some of the jobs around the house we did a shopping trip to Limoges. First place we go we find what is needed, so off for a spot of lunch.

The hills between us and the city still have plenty of snow on them, but here we have gone from -10C to +10C in a couple of days.

I am quite shocked to see that there will be plenty of tickets for the game on Saturday. If the visit of one of the most upwardly mobile teams doesn't pull in the crowds I wonder what will? ;)

Hello all, up to now been a good trip overall - 4 points (hopefully 7 before I go home - unfortunately I'm not going on Sat), a very pleasant journey for Pie and I to and Nottingham thanks to H, what seemed like Pie and Dan trying to out-chant each other in the second half on Tues (only could be one winner there), then having a great time at yesterday's matinee of WWRY - not surprised that Whitney Houston was added to the names of the artists they referred to who died too early. Did seem a bit strange seeing Kevin Kennedy in it as I'd only ever known him previously as Curly Watts in Corrie (for those of you who've seen WWRY with previous casts, he plays Pop).

Add to that lot, my fellow OP Steven Finn has taken 4-34 in both of the ODIs so far.

Haha. It was fun competing with Pie. I think it was an honorable draw. I might have been louder, but i came off much the worse lol. My head was still pounding the next day and my voice only came back this morning. I am so jealous that you got to see KK in WWRY. When i last saw it i got his understudy. Did you enjoy it though? I still want to go again!

Evening all. Why is it that all road works have to be done during the 2 weeks of half term?? Once again Skanska, on behalf National Grid Gas, are digging up the main road in Cambridge bringing the whole city to a standstill!! The road in question is highlighted and is the link between the new shopping center and the old city. It means that all buses are delayed and causes absolute chaos!!

    1) probably working on the principle that some are away on holidays meaning less people disrupted
    2) you have two weeks for half term?? We just had two days. <wah>

But, as i pointed out to mum, there are more people in Cambridge during HT as the parents all take their kids out to keep them happy and out of the house. I dont get any usually. I get 3 weeks off later, but thats not free time, its time to work and other courses have to do work experience so the Lecturers are not on campus.

It's all about priorities I suppose - is it better to disrupt people trying to get to work/study, or disrupt kids being kept happy? I know which I'd rather! ;)
