http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7524523/Giggs-tipped-for-top-job Is the Ginger Ninja senile at 37? If he's right will United's future be bright under Giggs and will our club and theirs have a better relationship under Gigg's management compared to Ferguson's?
I can see him trying to get the United job but not the 'next' manager, future definitely, but not straight after Fergie. Its slightly admirable the way they have Roy Keane, Gary Neville (?), Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes (?) all trying to get into the hot seat Less admirable how they take control of lower-mid table teams in the league to build up their CV's, although less admirable *CONSPIRACY ALERT* when they step aside when their respective teams face United in order to please the United board, although I'm sure a win over United would prove alot more.
^this^ Laying down to be slaughtered by Utd is hardly a way to prove your worthiness to take over after Fergie goes.
Giggs? With his own office? Does it have blinds? Make sure his PA is male, and move the ladies toilets to a different floor.
I just cannot see United giving the job to a former player who has absolutely no management experience. If he was to follow the Kenny model then he would already have to have been shadowing Ferguson. As far as I know this has not been happening or it is the best kept secret at OT.
I thought Solskjaer was Fergies anointed one? Worked under him & on his own, loves united. His demeanor would be more positive in regards to us but that's true of pretty much anyone else other than GN.
The difference was the quality of the backroom staff Kenny had and how long they'd been there. I mean, Ronny Moran and Roy Evans, or Mike Phelan and Ole Solskjaer - which would you have rather had behind you?
I thought Gollum was the anointed one? We all know the blueshite are the scum's feeder club. But lets be honest, who in their right mind would take the job? This is Brian Clough taking over from Don Revie or closer to home, Wilf McGuinness taking over from Matt Busby, or for us, Graham Souness taking over from Kenny! Or more current, Rafa taking over from Jose! You would need to have a serious ego, or be out of your gourd to think about taking over from Fergie. Especially if Fergie makes the same mistake as Busby and stays on at board level. I personally can't wait for this to happen, as everything points to total disintegration of the mancs. It is the biggest problem with Fergie being such a power hog, he doesn't have an established team, with a clear line of succession, like the Liverpool boot room. All his head coaches have gone off and done their own thing. For all the smoke these people blow up his arse, none of them wanted to actually work for him for very long. it's the strange thing about English footie, when you compare it to Europe, with the likes of Real madrid having a different manager every year, and yet they can maintain success, while over here, an established manager needs years to stamp his style on a team, and then they fall apart again if they get a new manager. Tis hard to get your noggin 'round.
that was a bad example to use...you chose a team with endless pots of money...who can pay £50 million for a player no problem.....who replace managers because they only won 3 trophies instead of 4 for any given season.....every time they get a manager..they pluck a successful one from another team.....you think that this is commendable? i wouldnt give a squirt of piss for success like this...much like we have no time for the likes of Chelsea and Man city in this country due to them buying success...and just like it used to be in Scotland where you assemle the best 11 players then watch them go under the guidance of a muppet...any muppet...as it happens Real Madrid can purchase the best managerial muppets...its not the manager..it's the players....bloody Capello got sacked from there for winning the double and not the CL....maybe we as fans have become blinded but for me it isnt only about trophies..its about ethics...weird how we call our affiliations with our clubs as a 'culture'...a 'lifestyle'...yet just like the mercenaries of the game.we also seem happy to buy the odd trophy as oppose to being happy with gradual progress.
I hope the ginger tosser is right but there is no way corn beef face will be repaced by Giggs. Some other scumbag like Mourhino will take over.
things I would like in a manager apart from the obvious. Honesty. Integrity Common sense accountability Giggs ticks none of the above.
Would that be real corned beef or the stuff we have over here? But agree with there being no way Giggs will get the job.
Ha yeah I meant the processed stuff we get over here, that rank red stuff reminds me of Fergies face.
Anyone who is prepared to be an assistant for that long lacks ambition ie Mike Phelan. It's understandable that the likes of Queiroz, Kidd and McClaren weren't prepared to wait indefinitely for Fergoe to retire and chose to become managers themselves. Good job for us they did as they all proved they weren't up to taking on the big job at United.
Dalglish has hardly demonstrated any of the above recently and yet you probably think he's the dog's knackers!
Dalgish has recently. Been honest as to Suarez 'lying' to him Had the integrity to apologise for his reaction during a tv interview after the Utd game Had the common sense to see his error And is accountable for the above to his employers. Giggs however. He must wish he'd been honest to his wife and family Has no integrity as shown by the super injunction Has no common sense or he'd have known he'd get caught in the end Is accountable to his wife, brother and children. See,its easy to discredit someone that deserves it.
