http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-ce...-celtic-will-not-prosper-if-rangers-go-under/ "...Alex Salmond claimed the "most diehard Celtic supporter" will accept the need for the Ibrox club to stay afloat..." Bollocks. Guy's a fat chunt.
What the **** has it got to do with him? FIFA need to get this sorted once and for all. Politicians should keep the **** out of football.
Alex Salmond supporting a "British" club that wraps itself in the union flag while belting out Rule Britannia! Good one fatty
The French, Nigerians and Egyptian governments have all been pulled up by FIFA for interfering in their country's footballing set-ups. A statute against Government interference has been in place for a few years, now. I was under the impression that this was why Real Madrid haven't received one of their government underwriting events for a good while
Berlusconi owns them but can't be president - technically, Milan have no president since he was re-elected (actually, since he went to jail, I think).
Just checked and this year, once Berlusconi's term is up, he will be re-announced as Milan president Sneaky prick
He wants to help a club that has done taxpayers out of £9m in taxes and NI in the space of nine months. As has been said already, how many nurses, police officers, teachers etc. could that have paid for?
Salmond is just paying lip service to the story, he has to give some sort of quote but I doubt very much even his Government would attempt to talk the taxman into going easy on Rangers. Not that it would do any good anyway.
Waste of time. That's for use of constituents only. IF you really want to contact the prick: [email protected]
If I was going to contact him, it would be via the post and it would be a stinking ****e in a box he'd be getting.
As Dev says, he just wants to be seen to be doing something. Local elections are in May and the SNP have high hopes of taking the council from Labour who are in disarray.
I wouldn't have a problem with the Government stepping in....if; A. It was within FIFA's guidelines. (It isn't) B. They'd bothered their arse with any other team. (They didn't)
