The "PISKIE's dodgy rosy glasses" thread

  1. By and large, PISKIE has mainly been notable for his absence, tonight. Not surprising, as I am sure that even he must know that there comes a time when blind, stubborn faith begins to make one look ******ed.

Having said that, he did come out with a couple of gems (following AFC's humiliation at the hands of AC Milan).

    Check these out:-

Indeed, you did, my mentally-challenged pal - you had Walnut in your starting line-up, for a start.

What? All four goals? Surely not!

I liked Notso's comment on the Rival Watch thread. Likening Piskie to The Black Knight in Monty Python's " the holy Grail" hilarious if you're too young, or haven't seen it.

Do we really need this kind of negative thread, HIAG? For the record, I thought they were a little unlucky with the actual goals Vermaelen slipped for the third, Ibrahimovic was offside for the second and he was definitely looking for the penalty when Djourou obliged in getting his legs tangled with him. Overall Arsenal were awful though and I don't think Piskie will deny that.

  13. Are you kidding, YV? This is PISKIE we're talking about. How can this thread be negative?

All of that may well be true, but it's PISKIE's reaction that I find utterly hilarious, and so should you!

I'm sure he would - but only because it was there for all to see. However, he still doesn't think Whinger is to blame or should be sacked, as does every other Gooner on this forum. Hence his "dodgy rosy glasses."

  14. I've already told you, PISKIE, I wear that honour like a badge.

It also gives me great pride to know that everything I predicted about you - and the reason why you banned me - is coming true.

    Everything.

The last prediction is Whinger being forced out of your club in utter disgrace.

I just don't think the Spurs board should be an outlet for your grudges or singling out users for both mocking and abuse.

  17. Why not?

They were vocal enough about us, when we went out of the CL, last season.

Surely, this is all part of the banter? Surely, this is one of the things that makes being a Spurs fan so much fun - our rivalry with Arsenal?

It's all perfectly valid, as far as I am concerned. And I am absolutely certain that I am not in the minority on this.

What? Out of the CL competition, you mean? Too right <ok>

Not your pride, though, eh. Obviously.

Re the banter firstly. Banter is, of course, fine. Personal insults are something I would only use in retaliation. Re the football, it just shows how far down the quality of EPL football has come. I know that maybe the general standard of European clubs has improved, but not that much - it's the quality of our football that's fallen. It's a shame that we're not in the CL this season, instead. I think we would go further than any other English club, the way we play at the moment.
