Did you not read the end of my comment where I stated that I preferred the current combination, Notso?

    Yes I did mate...did you?:) You only mention pairs, not a 3, I don't think I've misinterpreted it. <ok>

Edit after thought - Aah hang on, do you mean in place of Modric as CM? The thread was following him as DM I thought...all confused now!

In place of Modric alongside Sandro, as back-up.
In an emergency with Modric, as it's worked before against very handy opposition, in a 4-4-2 as well.

I prefer the Modric and Parker pairing, but it would've been nice to see Sandro and Huddlestone in the Europa League.
Perhaps we'll get to see it in the domestic cups next season?

I got there in the end! :D and I totally agree with your EL assessment, on the flip side as already mentioned, we wouldn't have seen Livermore develop. <ok>

Sandro and Kranjcar would've been good to see as well. Still, Livermore and Carroll did a good job when called upon.

If we'd have sorted out our squad properly in the summer, then we might even have been able to field a team that wanted to be there! <laugh>

I must admit that I've been very disappointed with the attitudes of a number of our squad players.
Rather than fighting for their places, like Kranjcar, Livermore and Dawson have, quite a few of them just gave up and sulked.
Corluka in particular was surprisingly lacking in spirit, in my opinion.

Somebody said there's a deeper reason for Corluka's motivational issues this season, with the implication he's had personal problems.
