They didn't think they could but they ended up selling out the 3,000 so how do you know they wouldn't have filled it, both this game and the QPR game you mentioned will be because of your fans, not the away fans <doh>

Can't argue with this. I think we've been in a downward spiral since Jose got the flick. Thing is, we didn't know it ,because the "old dross " wasn't so old and were still playing well. However they were also stiflling development and undermining any manager who they perceived as a "threat ". Hence no serious replacements were brought in for those positions, and so no competition for places.
Time has now caught them up and the spiral is very obvious to all.
If I were an adviser to RA, I would suggest we enlist help ,Guus being the obvious one, and give AVB a chance to take stock. Steve Clark would be a good option as well.

Ya see, we did no care about the FA cup, we sold out the next game against Wigan in the premier league, so there was obviously a reason other than we didn't have the fans <ok>

Even Rangers Chelsea in the league went on general sale. QPR fans all follow Fulham and Chelsea these days

Nope. We'll still get 40k and sell out all home areas. We haven't under 40k for a game v an English club for three years; that was v QPR in 2009.

Our last five games v West Brom sold out:
    41713, 41417, 41201, 41509, 41091

    And Wigan: 42,060, 40,487, 41,383, 40734, 40,846, due to Wigan fans non-attendance

Aye, but you watch next year you'll (just) be our fighting for europe rivals <whistle> <ok>

And why do you think you didn't sell out the QPR game? <whistle>

I was surprised at the time as we sold out the Cup game before but we had about three home games in six days including Champions League and Spuds.

If the game had been outside this particularly busy period we would have sold out.
