    Bruce saying today that Nedum is a pre-agreed fee for £2.5 million, if that is true then Quinny has once again struck a brilliant deal and we should snap their hands off.

    The kid has great potential and I'd love to see this get tied up, would everyone else take this at £2.5 mil?

    Sky have got themselves mixed a little I think.

    Bruce said of Elmo the other day "We will make that a permanent deal at £2.5m. He has been fantastic in his first year in the Premier League."

    Also this isn't Nedum's first season in the Prem.

    yeah, looks like sky have attributed that quote to onuoha, but it can only have been meant for elmohamady. shame, £2.5m would be an absolute steal. i'd pay anywhere up to £6m for onuoha, and think we can get him for that price too, or less. good news on muntari, hope he stays, and rumoured agreed price at £4m iirc. obviously welbeck would be great, but who knows with that one, and i'm not too fussed on mensah, though if we didn't sign him we'd need a new center half, and we may need one anyway imo as i think bruce may sell anton in the summer.

    Surely Mensah has done more than an on the pitch job? Helped a massive amount in securing deals for Gyan, Muntari, Sess...

    He has earned his wages I believe even though it hasnt been on the pitch. If we can get him for 4 mil ish, I don't see why not! His off the pitch influence alone is worth that much.

    i never said don't sign him, he's been desperately unlucky this season after looking like getting over his back problem and then having two unrelated injuries, and hopefully a run in the side now until the end will show his value. i agree that his attitude is top quality, and he definitely had a part to play in bringing in those lads. i'd like him signed, just i wouldn't lose too much sleep if we didn't keep him - i think onuoha, muntari, and trying for welbeck should all be priorities

    pay as you play contract for mensah with the option of going into
    the coaching side of things
    mensah = defensive coach
    zenden = midfield
    phillips = strikers sorted

    I think Mensah brings so much to the Club even with his injury problems. The man is class, boosts our reputation around the world, has fantastic African and French connections, is possibly key to securing Muntari permanently and has potential on the coaching side. Add to all of that he will contribute on the pitch for a significant number of games and if we are to progress we will need a stong squad. Seems like a bargain to me.

    I wouldn't be putting the mortgage on Phillips as striker coach.

    Firstly he has zero coaching experience.

    Secondly he will be either joining Blackpool (a deal that fell through in Jan) or Sky Sports full time. Trust me!
