At the risk of being QI'd I'll say Damon Hill in 1993 in Hungary. I think teams used to be able to pick their own numbers and I'm not sure who would pick zero if they had a choice.
Hill had 0 as Mansell left F1. I think the rule states that only the current world champion can drive car 1, so with him out of the sport, Williams used 0 and 2.
Correct, It was Hill. He was the #0 for two years in a row I think after Mansell and then Prost left taking their championship #1's with them. Jody Scheckter also raced with a number 0 in 1973 but never won with it please log in to view this image
