Good question. I can only assume he's had a setback again. He was just coming back into full work when I was there. Suspect they'll save his novice status for next season.
No idea to be honest. In some ways Last Instalment missing out gives Bog Warrior the opportunity to run but also reminds them of the dangers. If he were mine I wouldn't run him. I'd save him to mop up the Lexus/Hennessy next season on soft ground. No need to risk him on the good ground and undulations at Cheltenham.
Replay doesn't seem to be up on At The Races so will try and watch it when it is. Hear it wasn't the finest ride. I'm sure you would disagree but does this cast a shadow on the form of Colour Squadron et al . . . ?
Yes and no really. Its dissapointing because the front two have not gone clear. However if this mare is as good as I think she is then it's a very good performance by It's A Gimme to give her 7lbs and finish together. She obviously has the most scope for improvement but I am going to watch the leading group in future races to see how the form works out. It wasnt Dom's finest hour but these things happen. That's racing. She picked up a cut in the hurly burly but I am assured that its just a nick. Newbury beckons for the mares race and I am super confident that she will impress everyone on that day!
