Grayson built a crap defence, none of which were sold from underneath him because no one wanted to buy them, apart from Collins who was pants but amazingly sold on for a profit. Never have we had such a poor defence for such a long period of time than we had under Grayson. The defence didn't improve one bit in the three years he was at the helm. In fact it got worse. The only position improved upon was GK, & that was more by luck than judgement. Look at Dougie Freedman at Palace, sorted the defence out in less than six months. If we're looking for an up & coming manager to tighten us up at the back & have us playing as a unit, forget Lee Clark, Freedman's the guy we need.
