Andy, this whole debate started from an outlandishly bullish comment from a Leicester fan about having better players on paper than us. He then went on to suggest Pearson has achieved the equal of Lambert.

If anyone's got delusions of grandure its him surely? Look at the facts.

We currently sit 8th in one of the toughest leagues in the world.

    You're 14th in the championship.

Alongside Man United we have the second best form in the league.

You have the 10th best form in a weaker league.

We have the sixth best attack in the league, scoring an avg 1.48 goals a game.

You have the 11th best attack in the championship, scoring an avg 1.35 goals a game, against weaker opposition.

We have won a greater percentage of our games than you against much tougher opposition.

We have numerous players who have been individually fantastic this season. Many have been touted for international call ups. Players in all positions have made the BBC's Premier league team of the week. Some of our players have gained interest from the top six.

Both our strikers are performing better than any of yours, producing more goals and assists more efficiently, against much tougher opposition. Grant Holt also betters Nugent on just goals per minute efficiency, and to suggest he is just grit and no finesse is wrong. (look at his goal against Everton)

The only area where Leicester have Norwich bettered on paper is expense. Your squad cost seemingly over double what ours did.

So you may beat us this weekend. But i think Norwich fans can say without resorting to uninformed arrogance that we are currently the better team with the better players on paper.

I think a Leicester fan would currently struggle to support a similar claim.

    Frankly I couldn't care less.

What I could care about is the match we have on saturday.

So far we've entered 5 pages of pathetic 'we're better than you' **** without anyone even thinking about the game.

I'll say 2-1 to Leicester but my head is screaming 2-0 Norwich.

I'm sorry. I don't want to go around in circles, but did you really say the words "Nigel Pearson and Paul Lambert are on par"?

    Did you actually type that????

We were an arrogant frenchman's chip away from the playoff final and having already done the double over Blackpool I think we'd have fancied our chances there.

Having said that I don't think Pearson is as good as Lambert, but they're not exactly poles apart (if they were then Lambert would be the favourite for the England job <ok>)

sorry that analysis was more for the eyes of proudfox. I think it should be a good game, and i could see it going either way. There's a big question mark over how seriously Lambert is taking the cup after his comments on Man u being the focus, but i hope he fields a full strength team, as i think we'll need it.

According to some of your more mature posters Lambert won't let up and will want to put out a full strength side.

Although I have my suspicions. I personally think Lambert will want to consider the League with your current position being close to the European zone.

Andy King got in there and he is ****. Wellens is better then him, King only got in there because he scored 16 goals

Wes Morgan is in there and he cant break up the Mills and St. Ledger partnership.

We don't have a second string. we just have players that didn't play last time.

...But yeah it'll be slightly weakened, but it'll be a good game.

8 out of the 11 are playing Premier League football now and 2 of those left out are with Leicester.

I don't think europe is a serious possibility, and i hope it isn't, we need a good 2 more years to truly settle in the prem before trying to add the pressure of european football onto that!

What about James Vaughan? Will he be playing against us? Looked a good player when on loan with us in our playoff campaign.

    I don't think you'll do it, personally.

But you shouldn't forget that the F.A. cup lends itself to those who can't finish high enough for a European qualification.

If you get someone like Spurs or Chelsea or Arsenal in the final (assuming you can get that far and that the opposition finishes in the top 4) then regardless of the result you have yourself a European place.
