Okay he is on 65k a week but this is football and that is nothing. Rooney is on near 200k or more. Berbatov is on plus 100k and Nanis agent wants to get Nani a better deal. I think this what he should do. Its not fair when Nani has been one of our best players now and is on minimum wage for a footballer at a top club. It is time for Utd to pay up and give him the plus 100k he deserves. To balance this out the club should sell Rooney and get some one in for half of his wage. That way we sign a better striker than Rooney on less of a wage and keep Nani happy. It is a win, win situation.

Its a disgrace that Nani has not been offered a new deal. Nani will leave Utd and will do better. I have always said that Nani has been poorly treated at this club. It is time he went to a club which respected him. Ronaldo will be telling Real to bid for him and Real are reportedly keeping tabs on the situation. He would do well at the best club in the world.

I thought you were a United fan? No true United fan would call another club 'the best in the world'. Stop being a WUM, nolhman.

I am a football fan and since when have Utd been the best club in the world?

    Currently Barca are much better
Historically Liverpool Ac Milan, Bayern, Real, Ajax are all better clubs

So Rooney holds the club to ransom for an improved contract four years after signing his last contract in 2006 and you hate him?
Nani holds the club to ransom for for an improved contract one year after signing his latest contract in 2010 and you take his side?

I've seen carrier bags that were less plastic...

In fairness, I fully expect that Nani will be offered an improved deal come the end of the season. The fact that he is only 1 year into a contract won't prevent the offering of a new deal imo. His improvement dictates that an improved contract will likely be brokered in the near future. You have to pay the going rate.

What an imbecile. "Better" means "more good". "Good" is purely opinion based. You could say that these other clubs are more successful, or bigger, but if you are a United fan then nobody else should be better than us. You're such a plastic you simply can't understand this.

How has he been poorly treated? If you ask me he was more than lucky to get a contract worth £65k/week only a year ago because he was very inconsistent at the time, and he signed it only a few months after he made claims to the Portuguese press that Fergie had mismanaged his career and even questioned his selection policy.
I feel his agents have shot themselves in the foot with this one, if they had waited until the end of the season, and if Nani had maintained his form until then too (maybe they aren't confident he can continue to shine with Valencia back), then maybe they would of had a starting point to ask for a pay rise, but to start asking now at a key point in the season only a year after signing an improved 4 year deal is crazy.

Basically, even if Nani removed his United shirt, pissed on it, set it on fire and spat in Fergie's face, shortly before announcing a move to Liverpool, Nolhman would still worship the sock Nani spunks into.

I doubt it to be honest. Even Ronaldo had to wait two years between each new contract, and his rate of improvement was much higher than Nani's has been to date. Nani joined in 2008, and chose to renegotiate his contract this time last year. I'd be surprised if the board put another one on the table until November / December at the earliest - they are likely to be very wary of pissing of the other players after the Rooney debacle in autumn...

I'll say the same thing about Nani that I did about Rooney at the time he tried this.

In better news Nani tweeted saying

2I've seen some false reports on the press. I want you to know that you will hear the truth from me. Love MU"
