Interesting tweet from Nasri - could it be that he now realises that the grass wasn't greener ?

Too little too late - panic buys are hardly a way of proving to a top player that he should stay. Also we are not a better team than we were last season, so again that wouldn't make a top player stay. Granted Cesc leaving couldn't be helped but we should've spent that £35m on finding a creative replacement. I can only imagine Nasri looking at who came in and who went out and thought, sod this.

    I don't get your rant.

If a player says in January/February that he wants to see investment in the squad before he signs a contract and what he sees the club do is sell Clichy, sell Fabregas and buy Gervinho, Jenkinson and OXO how could that possibly convinvce him to stay ?

Arteta has proved to be a good signing, so credit to Wenger for bringing in a player of his quality and importance. As for the £35m for Fab - either it was used to bid for Goetze or it was used to strengthen CB (Mert) LB (Santos) RB (Jenkinson) CM (Arteta) LW (Gervinho/Oxo) . So I'd say it was pretty well used either way. Nasri lost patience with Arsenal, it seems he's now beginning to realise that being on the bench for a team, who will be watching Arsenal in the champions league tonight isn't as rosey as he thought it might be.

Seems to me like you don't have an argument PISKIE and it is just easy for you to say he left because he is greedy because that suits your point of view, even though the rest of your argument falls flat on its face. I can talk without bias. If I was a pro baller and I asked the club to show me investment in the squad, Gervinho, Jenkinson and OXO would deo nothing to convince me to stay - that is the most likely reason he left because he stated a proviso - Investment in the squad

PISKIE - of all the players we bought, Arteta and OXO are the only 2 that I think were successes.

WE have a transfer fund every season, so the £35m for Fabregas should've been added to the fund.

Is this a wind up pixie? Nasri has played thirty games for a club on course to win the league, surrounded by worldclass individuals in every position. How can you possibly think he's worse off?
