Just wanted to say good luck for the season, hope you stay up, as I like QPR. Don't know why, just do (although I like Every team really (apart from Portsmouth)). You've got a decent manager in Sparky, and a decent enough squad to stay up, so you should do it. Anyway, I'm rambling slightly, so tp summarise, good luck <ok>

    Lonely on Valentines night Nigel?!

Best of luck yourselves. Hopefully we'll both meet in the Prem rather than the Ch'ship.

Cheers NARA, nice touch mate. Good luck yourselves, don't think you'll need it though.

Yeah, good luck Saints. As I snotty-nosed kid (as opposed to the bitter, pissed up middle-aged **** that I've become) I spent many a Saturday at the Dell on a cadged season ticket. Great little ground in a ****ty Loftus Road kind of way. Great atmosphere. Era of Keegan, Golac, Big Dave Watson, Alan Ball (RIP) and Micky Oo-Argh Channon. Great team with Lawrie Mac at the helm.

Cheers NARA. I was studying in Southampton 73-76 and the Saints became my second team. Mickey Channon the hero then of course, and the late and lamented Peter Osgood and of course, Bobby Stokes who scored a scorcher to beat ManU 1- 0 in the FA Cup final in 76. Southampton was a sea of happiness afterwards and I swam in it, wishing the same on Shepherd's Bush one day. Hasn't happened yet but I'm a patient man...

That's impressive, Col. Shame it didn't work out - at least, I assume it didn't - you didn't say. Think that puts you on or about the Rod Stewart level of football which is pretty reasonable.

PS What's your singing like and how are you about wearing tights on stage?

I was 16 and playing for my county when a scout gave me the chance mate. I was a midfielder, but at the trail I was played out on the wing, up against the fastest little full back you ever did see!! I'm sure I wouldn't have made it anyway....but that wasn't the greatest chance anyone was ever given!
I played in a reasonably high standard in men's football.........Hellenic league.

Funny you should mention singing......I'm actually a half decent tenor (even if I do say so myself!).
