You're right AJ, however, that does not detract from your comment of Swindon by the A-hole of England.
A few games ago, Crawley, Southend & Cheltenham looked like they could pull clear. Now it's all about Swindon & Torquay. Good runs always end - even our home run will, one day. All I'm certain of is that the top 3 will come from the current top 6. Teams will blip and disappoint and stumble. They always do. We're going nicely and will make it if we can just pick up our away form a bit. Tough little run of games coming up - great if we get results in those but no reason to panic if we lose a game or two.
I had fuel robbed from my car back in 2000 from a car park in Swindon Always nice to return to a carpark to see a fire engine, wonder what they are doing, and realise there's a fireman under your car trying to fix the fuel pipe back on!!
i think swindon is a mild and gentle place stacked full of rottweilers particularly at the county ground. our bunch of moggies are at this very minute being hardened up into bull terriers on fairbourne sands. raymond and graham have suddenly become dobermans!
I am amazed by some of the comments from Gasheads (particularly Chris) who seem to think that Rovers were unlucky last night. Perhaps they should listen to someone who actually had the benefit of being at the game as opposed to listening to a clearly deranged radio commentary. Rovers may have had more shots but our keeper only had comfortable saves to make while the Rovers keeper had to make one really good save and we also hit the bar. Yes, it was a tight game but the difference was that we had class (in the shape of Nicky Wroe) coming off the bench to turn the game on its head with some classy passing. That difference is the reason we are going up and the best that Rovers can hope for is mid-table safety. I do enjoy banter with opposition fans but I must say it is much better if they have a sense of reality rather than total arrogance. P.S. Please ditch the homophobia - it just shows you up for what you are.
oh no wrong on too counts, the best thing the gas can hope for is nicking the final play off place, but they need at least 38 points from 16 games. it is a big ask. secondly gas/shrews banter is second to none and blame chris and i for warming our clubs boards up last summer. such magic words as tinpots has stuck and i am proud to be a tinpot. wherever our clubs are next season i suspect we shall banter. its ok chris the sirens gone, all clear!
the game was much closer than you make out. however we can only comment on the radio coverage. you say deranged but thats your opinion. as for arrogance you clearly not understood the banter between a few of your fans and our fans. there is no arrange from our part. just banter hense we call ourselves barca of league 2 and you the tinpots. just relax and breathe. p.s, the homophobia?? what homophobia? dont be such a gayboy.
I believe with regards to the last part he was referring to some of the songs from your lot last night. They were out of order in fairness. I do think we deserved to win but you did look decent for a **** team, play-offs aren't too far away are they?
i dont know anything about the songs. what were they mcghee is working with buckles team. we got some good individual players but buckle was **** getting them to work together. in the summer mcghee will make the right changes where we will have a very good season. lost 1 game in 7 now and he has made us so much stronger at the back already and he hasnt been here long. if buckle was still in charge we would of lost by 5 or 6 last night with those same players! play offs too far away. top 6 looks like will stay top 6. too many clubs fighting for 7th. although the season we beat you at wembley we were lower than where we are and we went on a good run and managed it so who knows! i be happy with top 10.
Can't remember exactly, just the kind of thing we'd expect to hear off Telford. One thing going for Buckle is that he did get Harrold playing well! I think Buckle might be better working off a tight budget, and he was always going to struggle when confronted with an embarrassment of riches and 20 odd new players. McGhee has that bit more experience going for him and is a little more streetwise - almost nicked a point off the best team in the league, after all!
where is chris gashead, is he still in hiding with irene in the eastville stormwater tunnel. someone tell them they can come out now. all clear
Not hiding AJ I do enjoy the banter with you guys but im afraid I have been very busy in work and can't get away with a few hours of banter during working hours at the moment. I would fall way behind I will be back to full strength soon enough though and will give you tinpots one hell of a bashing
