    Well, I understand what
    Max means here.

Let's draw a loose parallel: how could various historical-colonial types 'own' slaves? - Today's shackles may be more discreet and the rewards for a subject's effort far greater; but the pay-off for the investor is not too dissimilar…

Well i understand that he doesn't own-him own him, does it mean that he basically takes a slice of the fiscal pie whenever a financial award is handed to his "client"?

Only Max can explain himself. Despite feeling that I understand what he is getting at, it would be wrong for me to provide an explanation of his words.

Keep your wig on, I didn't mean he literally owns him! More in the sense that Chávez owns Maldonado or Vettel owns Christian Horner. No, that last one's slightly different but you get the picture.

Who knows what he put his signature to, same with any of them really. A couple of names that have similarity are Tevez and the Stone Roses

Its been mentioned on other threads, but here is the F1 website article confirming Dani Clos as HRT reserve driver. He should be driving at the next two pre-season tests. Do they not trust Karthikeyan's feedback or something?

Especially with FORMER MCLAREN TEST DRIVER Pedro de la Rosa, this is strange.

Assuming he's not going to replace one of the two past-it people mid-season. Which only a cynic would suggest. <whistle>

<laugh> At least they'd be consistent, swapping drivers over and over through the course of a season again. Oh well, whatever gets them through the year...

Martin Brundle knows it is going to be even harder for Nico to deliver this year, his huge race craft advantage of 2010 is slowly diminishing.

Why not use the green bands instead of grey? would make it MUCH easier to differentiate the medium/hard compounds.

I also share the fears that with "more durable" tyres, we're back at square one in terms of excitement.

They said they wanted the average stops in a race to be 2-3 so we'll have to see how that goes. They've changed the design to reduce marbles but the harder compounds have been softened up. If we get a mix of 2 and 3 stops I'd be happy.
