With apologies for dredging up an old chesnut yet again, but I was absolutely gobsmacked by the declared attendance of over 15500 last night. I know that all tickets distributed or sold (freebies, ST holders who don't turn up on the night etc) need to be declared as being there for tax purposes, but we are getting as bad Arsenal now. I reserve the right to be talking utter bollox, but there is no way on earth there was more than 12000 there last night. And I can't believe that 3000 people were threatened with battery by the Missus on Valentines night to the point where they didn't turn up. On the old 606 board, there was a poster whose Mother/Auntie/Sister worked on the turnstiles/ticket office and claimed to have access to the actual attendance figures that need to be collected in case there is a disaster so that the authorities know how many bodies to look for. Dunno if said poster is still around and whether any light can be shed? Of zero consequence in the overall run of things, but I think we should be told!:bandit:

I would have put the actual figure at about 13,000 to 13,500 last night

The usual story is that its the missing season ticket holders - of which there are always quite a few during weekdays.

I never resorted to that in either of my marriages. I left it as an unspoken threat hanging over them. and always gave them another chance to remain in the royal presence, provided they were totally apologetic and submissive of course.
