That's not quite true. The thread displays the big problem that presently exists within the game. Outside/peripheral issues have become more important than the game itself. Sadly that goes beyond Liverpool or United but we are not immune to it. Just how much discussion has there been on either of our boards about the match itself?
And by the media. The guardian itself has published atleast 10 articles since the hand-shake incident on Suarez. It's so ridiculously OTT and brings a false sense of proportion to the incident, you get less coverage for winning the bloody CL!
Perhaps, just perhaps, we should ALL be more worried about what is happening to Rangers. All of our clubs have corporate problems/weaknesses. Very few supporters have a true idea as to the true strength and wellbeing of their clubs.
ruff to be honest the problem with all forums is they are prone to the ever expanding waistline syndrome. Mick broke this site with corss threads cos he designed a fatal flaw into them... these threads are specifically the expanding waistline that prevents any reall banter and chat cos they are uncontrolled. further while we all went mad constantly on 606 for random and ott moderator that reacted wildly to all sorts we also have to see that unmoderated stuff is disasterous. what i can see clearly is that not606 has not got much future when things like general chat and unmoderatable cross threads are allowed. Eventually while this all goes under the radar compared to twitter... eventually the police will knock on micks door and ask why he''s not controlling the offensive stuff and close him down.... it is inevitable. and you know why? cos some funny lad whos a wum will be the one to put the complaint in.

I think it is true, this thread has degenerated into a sad paranoid one where people see if they can trawl up any incidents by United past or present to 'prove' Fergie is a hypocrite and the club is in fact the devil incarnate. Off the top of my head; Ron Atkinson using a racial slur against Marcel Desailly a good 15 years after he left the club and Mark Bosnich using a nazi salute and having a coke issue when he didn't even play for us. The other stick that keeps being trawled out to try to bash Fergie over the head with is that he thinks kicking a spectator is ok, whilst completly ignoring the FACT that said player was instantly banned for the season by the club and so therefore wasn't deemed ok at all. true, the minority don't pull ****e out of their arses about utd as you've alluded to. but i'd have to say the minority..... the majority seem to feel everything is against them personally and have to go on the attack when amazingly its racists individuals from 5/6 clus doing the attacking.... who by the by mods are powerless to stop it seems. Again before you had no bante rthread but utd fans who were here on "sufferance" so they could be banned at a moments notice and vice versa. therefore only the witty and non hater type could survive.... when cross threads came in i avoided this trhead at first but right now the others are so bad its the only one i post on! lfc fans don't even post o nthe pub thread sticky'd at the top half the time!
This particular thread has grown - due mainly to the posters who use it. It has now become a home for those of us who wish to talk reasonably and humorously about a range of topics from the trivial to important. THANK GOD FOR THAT! Perhaps it's the weather, perhaps it's the poor state of the Prem, perhaps we all need a different stimulus - hell I don't know!!!!
Well the pub thread is much safer than this (I like to think) don't think there's been one argument on there to date and is a place for safe refuge from the wums
if the pub thread was more used i'd post on it. I did this morning.... i avoide dthis one a lot but really the utd fans using it are pretty much the best osr tof poster you can get really so actually it works.. i actually avoided this thread when a few LFC nuts posted on it in the main. I think we all need to debunk for the week to the music or tv threads to talk about that stuff for a while. or we could talk CL... or europa... or fa cup.
True ( although I have contributed to that thread ). The whole thing is boring now and is ruining both boards to the extent that I'm seriously considering spending more time actually doing some work. Time to move on
