Just noticed your post! You can put titles on comments BTW, so for a thread within a thread like this it will make it stand out <ok> I noticed that too re fixtures. Sill not hugely confident, feel we've taken quite a knock recently, let's hope we can shrug it off and move on!

It could have been a lot worse, we have taken 1 point from our last two games which were against 2 top clubs and we are still only 4 points behind.

  8. If we can keep within touching distance over the next couple of weeks (out of our hands) then we will have a good shout considering we will have at least one game in hand (although this will be against Everton).

In the summer, I predicted fifth and I am still sticking to it. I think we will win the game against Cardiff to lift the Carling Cup and I think we will progress in the FA Cup too, got a sneaky feeling we may win that one too but sush...

I would be happy with fifth place and two cups but, naturally, there is a lot of hard work to be done yet. There is nobody better than Kenny Dalglish at taking it one game at a time!

we must be favorites for the carling cup... i feel the club website is being very stupid in getting so mouthy on the fa cup... all players need to shut up cos a 6th round away draw to spurs is one outcome that would make us look foolish... i hope we beat brighton then get another home draw v stevenage personally.

in the end utd beat us and it didn't matter we are 4points off of 4th and the side who wins 10 in a row will take 4th... its getting that close now. 13 games to go. no-ones any good. i thought 5ht and honestly we are not playing like that... 6th/7th is our lot unless we buck up our ideas going forward.

We may be favourites for the CC but we are certainly not everyone's favourite team at the moment, after the recent events we seem to have lost a few admirers. It's going to be like Liverpool vs The World rather than Liverpool vs Cardiff. Win or lose this game I can see the board getting a lot of **** thrown at it.

Do you think we need an emphatic win in the final to ease some of this? A win is a win but winning say 3-0 easy would that help our cause at all?

I think it would reduce the wums ammo by going on about beating a championship side narrowly.

But what I think a lot of people will bang on about being 'undeserved winners' etc etc or if Cardiff win it will be a 'win for football'.

    Expect a lot of bitterness.

To be honest I've got to the stage where I don't give a toss any more what anyone thinks of us. If they make their assessment according to what they read in the rags then nothing we can do or say will change it. We just have to put up with it and get on with football until they lose interest in it.

i've never cared about anyone's opinion so i'm not really affected by it. put pots on the table and the better players will come. have ambition and have a chance of delivering on it.

deliver a few wins not draws and play like you want to entertain and the press will be falling over to lick hole.... redknapp's spurs play good attacking footabll, they can't defend for ****, but half the sides now going to WHL don't turn up... newcastle didn't turn up!

simple innit... triffic... attack, socre make it seem like a hard day and the samll minded (like moyes and hodgson) don't bother too much coming to anfield.

I can't wait for us to cut loose of the back passing, side passing, pass to my team mates foot closest to my goal so he can back pass style... the only thing i like about adam is he takes a bloody risk to play forward.... downing take note!

MAKE OF THIS WHAT YOU WILL

Apparently Evra will not appear for United in Amsterdam against Ajax because he has had an "emotional time"!!

He was probably given a bollocking and dropped.

However SAf often, and correctly in opinion, takes players out of situations when he knows the eyes of the press will be on them ( something we both thought Kenny would have done last week ).

i happen to agree with king.

ferguson has done only one of two things... given him a bollocking over his antics after the game OR decided going to Ajax where suarez used to play for him maybe to be booed was not a great thing to go happen.

    queue utd win in amsterdam.

    MITO,

Perhaps, just perhaps, Ferguson was only too aware that the reception Evra would get in Amsterdam. Even worse from his point of view, there might have been another handshake problem with some of the Ajax players
