?

Where will we finish?

  1. Within the relegation battle (14th-18th)

  2. Relatively safe (10th-13th)

  3. Miles away (6th-9th)

I've heard some saying "I think we're miles from relegation" and others saying "there's a high chance we'll get relegated".

At the end of the day, we're 5 points from safety. If you look at the average ratio between points and games played at the bottom, you'll notice that it's near enough 1.1:1.

We have 9 games left, alike most of the teams below us. Based upon the average 1.1:1 ratio of the bottom three, we should need about 42 points to secure survival. We're currently on 36, which means we need around 6 points to secure survival.

    Our remaining fixtures are:

Stoke, Wolverhampton, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackpool, Liverpool, Birmingham, Chelsea, West Brom.

I'm confident that we can get 6 points from these games. The winnable games in my eyes are against: Wolves, Blackpool and West Brom. If we can win those, then that's 9 points.

That is of course without considering draws.

However, we know that Football is far from predictable, this season especially. So, in my eyes, the answer to the question "Will we be relegated?" is no.

We face teams below us that will be desperate for points, but I have faith that we can still get the points to clinch survival.

Will we survive by a mile? No. Will we be relegated, more unlikely than likely.

    What are your thoughts?

These three yes, Wolves, Blackpool and West Brom plus the point at home to Manure

Thats 46 points in my eyes, easy.

i think we have no chance of getting relegated because the chances of the teams below us getting more points then us to overtake us and relegate us are just too slim. For me Wigan are already doomed.
then take your pick from Wolves West Ham Birmingham and West Brom, I think Birmingham and Wolves will join Wigan

It'll be close, but I think we have enough in us.

This season is much tighter than previous ones, team just need to focus on each game as they come and work to get results, if they managed 10th I would be very happy, any higher and I would be over the moon.

I stick by my original prediction of 12th place - it just sounds likely for some unknown reason...

    17th still my target.

I do think we will be safe but we have made hard work of it.

Yes I know injuries have played a part in this but our home form has been hit and miss and that has been a problem this season.

I reckon we can finish 9th, we have a piss easy run in compared to everyone else around us.

Went for 10th to 13th but if results go our way then we could find ourselves breaking into the infamous 'top 9*'.

I still see us finishing in the Top 10. At the very least we'll survive comfortably. Our run in could have been a lot worse
