According to our commentators, Iwelumo pulled Morgan to the ground.

We need to get the ball to Kacaniklic more. When we were pinned down and managed to get the ball to him....we were counter attacking really effectively, he keeps hold of the ball well whilst sprinting down the line, skilling up players etc. Good loan signing....but need to use him more. In the first half Murray was good too...so fair enough that they use both wings. But other than the goal.....Forsyth is a slow player and the long ball wasn't working second half. Need to be able to change our game plan.

Big Chris does seem to divide opinions. I would normally defend our players when they get stick, but from a personal point of view I just don't get what it is with Iwelumo. To me too many times we lose possession because he gives away numerous free kicks, and he does not seem to be able to hold the ball up, does not seem to retain possession. I also believe he is not dominant enough in the air for his size and stature. Just my view...

On a more positive note though, as I said in an earlier post, I thought John Eustace and Jonathan Hogg had very good games. Eustace was immense, and it is great to seem him bursting forward from midfield in the more advanced midfield role. Hogg as the anchor man rarely gives the ball away, and always seem to know where his next pass is.

With respect to their first goal, yes it seemed to go in in slow motion and the immediate reaction was should Scott have been able to get to it, but to me it was Hodson and I believe Murray, although I can't remember definitely, that were to blame. Nugent should have been shown down the line, not allowed to cut in and get a shot away.

Great win though. And an exciting evening at the Vic

Leciester will say they missed some good chances in that 2nd half but we missed a few as well 1st half.

In fact the Foxes probably scored with their only 2 real efforts in that 1st half.

A strong defensive performance 2nd half with a typical break-away goal..TBH I thought we lacked any pace up front which didn't help despite the best efforts of Big Chris.

Eustace and Hogg were excellent again and good to keep the run going.

Getting a knock and watching your replacement win the match is all part of the learning curve Hornette. He'll come back an even better player for it.

quite right...though i had started hoping that Forsyth would come on for CI before the end of the first half. I know Forsyth isn't rated highly, but i don't really geddit.

It seems, listening to our commentary, that we were hard done for the key decisions that changed the game. Again according to the commentators, the 2nd goal wasn't a foul, Morgan was fouled for the third and we should have had a peno at the end. I do try to avoid criticizing referees because they do their best and they have a hard job but when you have been fobbed off by them as much as we have recently and when you have as many good performances ruined as we have done recently, you cannot help but be critical of the standard of refereeing in this country.

But that doesn't excuse the chances we missed, Beckford and Morgan especially, and our failure to deal with Watford's long balls to Iwelumo and then the sloppiness to get caught on the break. Credit to Watford because they've done well to stay up and do it as convincingly as they have despite losing three of their best players in the last 12 months and having next to no money to replace them with.

We can't get the consistency in our performances right now and I think we'll have to pull off something special now to get into the play-offs.

Thanks Greatness. For me this was a crucial game for our season as we now are aiming for top half security.... with a cobbled together team we have won three out if the last four... and played poorly at forest to draw. So I only listened on the radio .. but the ref sounded very poor indeed..... still not sure why Doyley went off... one newspaper says... dissent ???

Spot on OFH - I am not the greatest of fans and had a moan when he lost the ball a few times or played a few misplaced passes. But they played 2 defenders on him and at times he caused them real problems, he backtracked and defended as well - I thought he played well and a couple of mates ended up agreeing with him.

No doubt that Leicester deserved more from the game bases on possession and chances, but this time it was our time for a bit of robbin' - makes up for the points we lost against dirty Leeds at home.

The Ref & 1 Lino were totally inept - the ref did not even blow for the "foul" against Beckford, it was flagged by the Lino and then sent the wrong player off and it is was a foul it should have been a penalty...totally inept.

Anyway, thanks for the 3 points Foxes - we need all the help we can get and I hope we can repay you with some favours over the rest of the season.

It's astonishing that Leicester fans, websites etc think that their biggest problem was not dealing with Emu, but 90% of Watford fans bans think he is the worst player to wear the shirt, and a good few were booing and jeering his every (fairly rare last night) mistake and cheering ironically when one of his countless knockdowns went to a yellow shirt. A lot of people just don't have the vision or football nous to appreciate what he can do in the right circumstances. Obviously Dyche has a lot more experience in these matters as it doesn't seem to have worked out too badly the last couple of games.

As to the ref and crucial decisions going Leicester's way - you should have been down to 10 after Eustace was hauled down and the ref bottled it because the Mills was already on a yellow. The 'penalty' - don't make me laugh - Beckford should have been booked for diving. Ref didn't see it but Lino (deffo the worst ever) bought it hook line and sinker from 30 yards away and started flagging furiously.

Apparently Police in Watford are looking for a sniper who was spotted on the roof of the Rookery last night. He apparently took a shot at Jermaine Beckford as he approached the 18 yard box towards the end of the game, it seems like he missed his intended target but Beckford dived as if he had been struck by a 12 bore shot gun pellets at short range!<yikes><laugh> In the furore that followed the ref actually sent off the wrong man, the sniper escaped into the cool evening smiling as Watford got the three points the richly deserved;)

Totally agree Harrow, unfortunately a lot of people don't like having to change their minds when they have decided to use a player as their default scapegoat.

Must have been a useless sniper, he had clearly been having pot-shots at him all game.

Having been at the game and not relying on biased local radio reports (not including 3-counties in that) - I really cannot see where this claim of a foul before our third goal comes from. I would have thought the Leicester managers is still reading the riot act to (Morgan?) for feigning a mortal wound rather then getting up and trying to prevent us scoring. For once a referee ignored the cheat on the ground - let the game get on - and so the cheat paid the ultimate price as we scored. Well done ref and excellent decision.

But that doesn't make up for the sending off which was nonsense to say the least.

As for the whole game I thought we had the better of the first half and should have been in front. Leicester shaded the second half but their finishing was awful. Not sure what the Leicester manager means by saying he knew how we'd play - if that was the case why didn't he manage to stop us playing. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Completely agree...and i think, in answer to your last sentence, that all involved with, or supporting Leicester, expected a bit of a romp last night, and, as has happened so often this season, were slightly surprised. (as a lot of us were, to be fair!)...sour grapes? Probably just numb from the shock ;)
