    Well, yesterday was absolutely awful. Outplayed by bottom of the league! Heres my quick analysis;

Lonergan: 6, couldn't do much about the goals, decent kicking, nothing to do.
Smith: 3, didn't seem part of the team, got done at RB a fair bit but did recover a few times, no better than Connolly.
Lees: 4.5, won a few headers and looked composed, bullied by that massive chap they had.
O'Dea: 6.5, decent game in fairness. Tried to ping a few ambitious balls, made some good challenges.
Pugh: 5, can't remember him doing anything to be honest, no support for White and had to be covered for.
White: 6, one of few who looked bothered. Poor ability wise, but made one superb challenge covering Pugh. Clueless when he has beaten a man. Should have scored.
Clayton: 5.5, when he got the ball he played it well, a few decent balls and never backing out a challenge. Huge gaps in the midfield though.
Delph: 6, similar to Clayton, similar type of player. Look composed on the ball and looked to make things happen. Gave the ball away abit, lack of options.
Snodgrass: 6, never really in the game, almost cost us a goal. Played a few nice balls in for McCormack, at least he clapped fans at the end.
Becchio: 3, living off his reputation big time. Slow, sluggish, never a threat and always throwing himself on the floor, didn't win a header!
McCormack: 7.5/8, best Leeds player on the pitch. Good movement and took his goal well. Lively throughout, missed a good chance though.
    O'Brien: ****
Brown: 5, mis-placed passes, didn't make a tackle, way too slow. Thompson over him please.
    Nunez: Didn't do anything.
Redfearn: ****ing awful. 4-4-2 didn't work at any point, stuck with it all game. Dreadful subs. Taking off your top goalscorer chasing a game <laugh> Fans made their opinions heard.

To summarise; Snoddy never got involved. White is not a winger. McCormack looked good again. Redfearn is not the answer. This season is over. BATES OUT.

    My team for Saturday:

    GK: Longergan
    LB: White
    CB: Lees
    CB: O'Dea
    RB: Connolly
    LDM: Delph
    RDM: Clayton
    LAM/LM: Townsend
    CAM: Snodgrass
    RAM: Rogers
    ST: McCormack

Yes. Leeds is widely recognized as one of the heaviest clubs in world football when it comes to the weight of expectation. Our experience of league titles and European glory as well as our huge worldwide fanbase mean that every season, nothing less than the top flight is good enough for us. When we get back there, there will be no settling for survival - we'll want to be straight back at the top straight away.

Cardiff City's expectations might be more realistic based on the team and board that you have, and of course you have more chance of fulfilling them, but they're certainly not higher or more intense than those of Leeds fans. If you think a players thrive off our expectation, you're wrong in the vast majority of instances. There are only a few strong characters in recent years who have become heroes of the Kop at Elland Road, and we've seen many talented but fragile players fail.

They won the FA Cup once in the 20s, I think. Same trophy record as Bradford City.

it certainly is depressing supporting a club only 3rd in the table and i'm dreading going to wembley on the 26th of february (live on sky sports 1, if you cant afford it i'm sure there are pubs showing the game).

who do you think will get the job?

Going back to the original tread, it doesn't seem to matter much what team we put out. Only games we can now win are against numerically depleted teams. I suspect our players realize their season is over now. Most realize they won't be at Leeds next season either through the better ones being sold and the rubbish ones (which is many) having contracts terminated, so they have little incentive to burst their gut now. So personally speaking, not too bothered who we put out till we get a new manager and see what he comes up with. Result pretty irrelevant after recent run

surely as professional footballers they have an obligation to give 100% to the 20k or so fans who cheer on the team, they should be playing to earn new contracts, its a sad state of affairs if they 'have little incentive to burst their gut now' <ok>

I thought Becchio was our best player against Brighton. He held up the ball really well and looked dangerous at times. He's scored 6 goals from mainly sub appearances this season which aint bad, considering that's about half as many as Snoddy and Howson scored last season. I don't think he's playing as bad as people say he is. I mean he hasn't been the same player as last season but the formation and tactics were almost based around him last season. This season he fell out the side due to injury and found himself having to compete with a in form striker.
