me too... Such a talent but you have to wonder how almost a year out will affect his developement. I still think behing RVP he's our second best player.
I think we should treat any news on his comeback with a healthy dose of caution. We've had our hopes dashed too many times with players returning from injury, only to find out that they are then nowhere near a comeback. I know some people are quick to judge and condemn our medical team (without any substance I might add) for the delay in players returning. But I think the difference between our club and others is that we do not rush players back before they are 100% ready. We have in the past, and it's cost us dear. This is why players sometimes take longer than expected to return, as they are not fully recovered - and we will no longer risk taking a gamble on them.
Is that back from injury and start training or come back to playing football? I doubt he'll be back in a month, probably 2-3 months time more like...
Agree 100% However, I think we are very very cautious....Which can only be a good thing for the team...... But I sometimes feel we have to accept some players will never be 100% and play them @ 70% fitness!
I think we have really messed this one up. Wilshere got a fracture in his foot playing for England in late June. Seven and a half moths later he is still a month away. Even without the latest injury - first not recognising the injury, and then putting him in a plastic boot - delayed the whole process for four months. I also think, generally, we wait too long to bring players back - preferring them to be 100% fit before the come back into the team. I was listening to Ray Parlour this morning and he was saying the same thing - how he couldnt understand why players couldnt play at less than 100% fit. He said that any pain only really kicked in after the game - during it he was able to just forget any knocks and carry on. Having said that, with Wilshere, personally I hope he takes more time now to really recover - and doesnt go to the Euro's. Its worrying that one of our brightest stars has had fractures in both feet at such a young age. It may be to do with his playing style - often just nipping the ball away from an opponent at the last minute. Regardless i hope he fully recovers and this issue does not become a recurring one throught his career. Players like Gerrard and Owen have really suffered after picking up injuries early on in their careers.

He'll be back before the end of the season just in time to go to the European championships where he'll be injured again, and out for half of next season.
Hopefully he's grown up a bit during his time out. Crying on the pitch and having twitter tantrums after losing? Birmingham are pretty good at making Arsenal players cry.
