And sold them easily. There's a difference between the club only taking half and selling them easily and sending half the tickets back, non?
After reading in the Times yesterday, that Chelsea have certain key(but un-named) players, who are hostile towards AVB, my guess is they could conspire to throw this, which will be the final nail in AVB's coffin! A high price to pay, but at least we can start getting back on track again!
Yes but the only difference is not losing as much face. Looks better to only ask for 3k and sell it than ask for 6k and only sell half. Can you really not work this out? If you could sell 6k you would have.
If we had been given more than 3k we would have sold more than 3k. There were people that missed out that would have otherwise gone. I don't know how many we could have sold but it is certainly more than 3k. Comprende?
As previously stated, we will give the whole shed to teams that can sell it. An away trip to the Bridge in the cup should be one of the biggest games of your season. Anyway, to try and salvage some form of debate.... I think this will be a tight game. Birmingham will be well up for it and we are playing poorly. At home and given our quality, I expect a win, a tight win though. Certainly no more than 2 goals in it. Lets put it this way, if we were at St Andrews I'd be a lot more worried. I just hope we see this as a chance to a. progress in a tournament we could still win and b. a chance to put the league form to the back of our minds for a week.
One of the biggest games of our season? You flatter yourselves too much. It might just be in the top 10. As new signing Lewis McGugan is cup tied, meaning we don't have a left winger, you're in with a chance. If Spector plays in midfield you'll win. If Redmond, Elliott and N'Daw play we'll win.
I can't see any conceivable combination of players in the Birmingham squad which would make it possible for them to win or draw. The bookies make Chelsea 1/4 favourites & Brum 9/1 which induces me to make this statement. Birmingham have Bob Hope & No hope & Bob's out of town.
What 9 games are bigger than playing us in the fa cup? It's surely the biggest stadium you will have played in this season for a start,
The eight Europa League games Man city away Southampton and West Ham games Wolves games - local derby Other local derbies
When are you playing wolves? Southampton and West Ham games may be bigger for you in terms of your quest to get promoted but just on face value, Chelsea away is bigger than any of those games especially with your main rivals in a different division.
I guess if Brummies consider playing Maribor on a thurday night is better than an fa cup tie against a C.L team...no wonder they could only sell 3k
Fine. They are on general sale on our website: Chelseafc.com. I expect to see a lot of Brum in home areas then. Watford Ipswich Gillingham and Huddersfield have all brought 6k in recent years
Why would Birmingham(the club) not take the full allocation initially to try and sell? I've never heard of that. Whilst I'm risking your wrath, are all your subs still sponsored by Hollywood Monster?
Because Chelski wanted paying up front. As we aren't exactly rolling in money the club didn't want to pay for 6000 in case we couldn't sell them. Instead they took 3000 which we sold easily. And no, they're not.
Fair enough, I'm not exactly read up on ticketing rules but I'm surprised that Chelsea can do that. We always get late tickets made available to Spurs fans when Blackburn, Wigan, etc can only sell out one tier of the away section.
Trouble is Bluemoon, if the players DO get AVB sacked, then we are precisely where we've been the last 5 years. The entire club run by the "gang of 5" for their own benefit at the clubs cost. Address the REAL issues, get rid of these dickheads , because only then will we have any chance of "getting back on track ".
I want to stick up for AVB and see his tenure endure a long life span and bring us loads of trophies after sticking by him... ...but then I remember how tactically inept he is and how stupid his line ups/subs are.
The fact is CP , we are for the first time in years in a downward spiral! We, on the outside, are not privy to all the facts! I know its always easy in situations like this to blame the manager, but who else is there to blame? Roman knows who is to blame and he wont be sharing it with the outside world , but he knows action is required, and you can bet the next few weeks are going to be riddled with reorganisation at SB!
