You don't need to worry about your job.

Stop E-mailing me. If you continue to send me E-mails, I will be forced to call the police and seek a restraining order.

Also, stop being a twat and stop bugging all of the delightful fella's on not606. They don't deserve your crap.

It's normal that you'd be racking your brains and over thinking any possible negative reasons for the situation you find yourself in, try not to worry about, be positive and focus on how to get a new job/embark on another career path.

If I were you I'd genuinely travel. Even just for 2 weeks, even just somewhere in Europe. (next FA Cup/International break!) Taking time away from the every day grind can really help you set yourself goals for when you get back!

Chin up son, I lost my job in January. I wanted to leave anyway but thought I'd never find a job earning the 19k I was on. Anway, long story short. I went to an interview for a lesser job on only 15k feeling confident I'd get it and that it would be quick money until I found something better. I was that good in my interview I walked out with a different job to the one I was going for on 24k.

When one door closes another opens...

Loathe as I am to comment and therefore possibly encourage future threads more suited to Jeremy Kyle / Loose Women, I think it's very sad that youngster today (school leavers to mid twenties) are so worried about 'getting a career' and getting a 'good' job. Satans cum recepticle, otherwise known as Mrs Thatcher) certaintly knew what she was doing when she sold off all the council houses, and everyone was mug enough to fall for it en masse.
Now everyones got home-owning debt and HAS to work, and everyone who doesn't own their own home is looked down on as somehow inferior, encouraging these non-home owners to FEEL inferior, and that their lives won't be right until they too have a mortgage. Of course, once you've got a mortgage then you've got to work to pay it off. Keeps the commoners in their place, frightened of loosing their jobs and their homes, while making lots of money for those at the top.

Personally, when it comes to work, I despise it. I've worked for a few companies since leaving school, only been sacked from one, all the others I moved on and up. I'm now a middle-manager in a big organisation, earning enough, good perks etc - but I couldn't give a **** about the place. I don't work for 'personal improvement' or 'a feeling of self worth'. I work to get money to do things Iimportant to me and things I want to do in my time, end of. Therefore I make work as easy as possible for myself. Large swathes of my working life have been spent doing abseloutely **** all. The secret is learning to put up 'smoke and mirrors' so it looks like you're productive. I've had loads of awards in all differnet jobs. The only thing that I can honestly say I'm proud of as an employment-related achievement in that in three of the places I worked, when I was there those times are now looked back on by those who were there as the 'golden age of ****ing about'.
Tash, the golden rule you must always remember is that don't matter if you're in a company for 50 years, 2 days after you're gone, it's like you've never existed, so don't waste your time worrying about what they think of you.

No but, they have something of a generic interest to everyone, ppl are getting bored of hearing about your job, after all this is a football forum, not a problems page.

If your that concerned, get an employment lawyer to take a look at your case (maybe Keegan's) and sue for constructive dismissle.

How miserable. I'm no doubt younger than you so in no real position to give advice, but if you are financially secure why not try looking for a job you might actually like? As with most I failed to get a decent graduate job when I finished uni, bounced around agency jobs for a while before eventually finding the job I do now on a reasonable wage that has allowed me to buy a house, keep my season ticket going and actually enjoy my work. Obviously its difficult to find something like that, and I'm still keen to keep moving upwards, but I really hope I don't end up feeling like this.

Edit: Tash, next job try spending less time on messageboards. It'd help.
