    Every one wants wingers.

But what wingers do you want?

    Hazard linked with Spurs today.

    I wouldn't mind Hazard myself.
    Or Lennon or Bale.

Adam Johnson also has great potential.

Who does you guys all want?

Lots will change at Tottenham this summer; Harry probably off or trying to split his job between country and club, Bale getting interest from Spain and will be off (please, how can he turn down a massive paycheck beyond what Spurs will offer + playing for Real or Barca?), VDV getting interest from abroad, Modric will get his head turned again by Chelsea/City/United and might force it through this time, also can Friedel really play another season? They'll sell and reinvest.

Liverpool will probably end up going for a few similar players to Spurs. Hazard however won't be going to either as much as I'd love him here. Johnson hopefully will be leaving City if they spend again this summer, he'd be up between us...but we'd need CL to get him over Spurs.

Before we start throwing names about, we need to understand what we actually require a winger to do. Only after deciding that can we then start to look at players who could fit the profile!

Johnson is class, throw a name into the ring, Matt Jarvis? He's decent enough for Wolves, although decent for Wolves and Liverpool are different things. Or Dempsey? One of the most under-rated players in the league IMO.

Give me a Bellamy type player over a traditional winger like Downing any day of the week.

I don't see the obsession with wingers. As we have seen throughout this season, we have wasted so many crosses either by poor crossing, crossing from too deep, or not just not enough bodies in the box.

Players like Bellamy and Maxi have the ability to cut inside and get closer to goal and play/pass the ball (not cross). This style of play relies on intelligence and good movement and is far more pleasing on the eye as we have been more successful (look at the end of last season).

  9. If 'Arry leaves and they manage to get Mourinho then yes. Anyone else in charge including 'Arry the no.

Or, they sell Bale for £40m+. They would feel they need a big purchase to get the fans back on side and what better way to do it than spend £30m and one of the games most promising and sort after players?

It's not the transfer fee Spurs won't fork out for it's Hazard's wages. He'll be after 120+ easily and Spurs won't break their wage structure

  12. I really wanted us to sign Matt Jarvis in the summer, quality player who can use both feet, know how to pass, cross and shoot, he tracks back and can play on either wing. He is not a world beater but he is tidy and consistent. However, he has struggled this year and, IMO, is part of the reason Wolves have struggled so much this season. Get his confidence back and he is an excellent player to have in the squad. Wouldn't want to pay more then £8m or £10m though, I think Wolves will want more. Could be different should they be relegated.

Dempsey is fantastic but he is also 28 (29 in March) so does not fit our recruitment policy. Having said that, look at the impact Scott Parker has had at Spurs, could Dempsey do something similar for us? Would help us in the American market too which would please the owners.

    To us ;)

After hearing of John Henry's dealings in base ball, I wouldn't be at all surprised if John Henry went to big lengths to try sign Bale. And by this I dot just mean lots of money.

That would be such a big message from him, and a huge sign of intent.

I think my dream would be Bale on the left and Milner on the right. With a really solid and sturdy center midfield area,

Keeping up with the British invasion idea...

Johnston from Citeh and Sturridge from Chavski. I could see that working.
Bale would be nice, if very unlikely

I think that Adam Johnson would be a great player for us. He is willing to take players on and has a good left foot, only 24 as well so has time on his side.

    Definitely.

I'd love to see Sturridge at Liverpool. Along with Bale, Milner and Adam Johnson.

I genuinely think Sturridge would leave Chelsea for us.

    -----------------Reina--------------
    -G.Johnson--Skrtel---Agger--Enrique-
    ----------Gerrard-----Lucas---------
    -Milner------------------------Bale--
    ------------------Suarez------------
    ----------Carroll/Sturridge-----------

Adam Johnson could replace either wide man and we'd still be strong.

  20. I would absolutely love us to sign James Milner. I rate him so highly and believe he would be a natural replacement for Gerrard, for England too. Obviously, I wouldn't mind Bale either but we clearly won't be getting either. You can throw Adam Johnson's name into that hat too.
