Over the last five games (including two cup matches), we've improved no end. Only been robbed of five points by ****e refereeing decisions that we're both over-turned. Glad Leeds-18 didn't do something too stupid.
Well results are what counts as does the league and not the cup. And your notably well off the play-off places whereas we are still within a chance (not that im expecting anything at all)
Stuff Norwich 8-0 and then stuff every team 8-0 and win the league. That is the only acceptable outcome. End of !!! UTF
So can we call it over now? I love my footy team but: WE CAN'T WIN 2 GAMES ON THE BOUNCE. For me I would prefer option 3. I can handle losing in the cup,but would prefer more momentum in readiness for next season...
As i said, we just need need to win as many games as possible and see where it takes us. Play offs look a million miles away. We just take a step forward and fall over
This in it self is shocking. 12+ Months since this club won a game in the league and then turned up and won again. 12+ months. I 100% do not blame Pearson. This was not his show. Next season is.
This is Sven's car crash. We have a core of a squad to build on we just need more players to add to that. Nigel needs to be given til Christmas at least before people start to get on his back. Im fully behind him and i think he will get us in the prem
At the beginning of this season we had to build a squad but Sven just collected a squad (Nigel's words) At the start of next season we dont need to build a squad just add to what we have, we have a very good core of a squad. Schmeichel is the best keeper in the league in my opinion, Defence we know can be solid and with Bamba back now we just need to strengthen at full backs. The midfield is pretty shocking and needs alot of work in the summer. Nugent, Beckford, Waghorn and Schlupp up front we just need to add one striker to it. So we do have a solid core just needs a little work.
For me Nigel is a proper Championship manager. Sven was just an outsider planted in an unrealistic bubble by our owners to wave wands. It's taken months for our hangover to look like clearing and unfortunately the booze still seems to be being consumed. We all must stick with Nigel into next season now. I do believe he is the man to complete this job.............properly this time.
I think the owners thought with Sven people like Beckham, Henry and other names will follow. I think they have now realised thats not the case and they are fully behind Nigel
My fingers are crossed, but will all the Fox fans agree? Err of course NOT that's why we're still suffering an over inflated ego, expectant like it's our right and as Nigel pointed out 3 weeks ago we've "Got delusions of Grandeur!!!"
He was talking about the players by the way. He meant that the players might be turning up expecting to win. Which is completely unacceptable.
I listened to his interview in the car that day on the way home. I was that shocked (not disagreeing, but just the target) I listened again at home later. It was certainly not immediately apparent he was referring to specifically the players. Stringer just moved the conversation quickly along as if it was. Have another listen.... I think our fans (including myself to a degree) as expected a walk in the park. Frankly if you want an advert of MONEY DOESN'T buy things then check in at Filbert Way anytime...
I don't think he was talking about the players. He said that in response to a question along the lines of "do you understand the disappointment of the fans?" He made another odd comment tonight - "There will be serious repercussions if I hear any talk about the season being over". Sounded like a threat to the media, since Stringer has been saying that every time we lose since Christmas.
On your 2 observations: Firstly, I think he most definitely was referring to the fans and their booing of the performance against Barnsley. Which, by the way, still amazes me the fans on mass haven't castigated Nigel for saying we all have "Delusions of Grandeur". Maybe we all deep down agree with him? Secondly, I'm as guilty as anybody posting this original link days ago. However, I'm guessing you could have a wiff of something along with the twitter world of the players? Fact is, short of a miracle, we're doomed this season now and our duty as fans is to accept this, mourn our lost opportunity and move it positively...
