Now when you or me lose a job, its the dole and never ending CV's, us mere mortals.

Poor footy managers like Brucie, MickMack, Curbs.

Big pay off, never hear of less than a million.

Bit of TV work, odd newspaper article.

Then tip is, Bruce to Wolves on a few quid a year, MickMack to Leeds, on a few quid a year, Curbs turned down a few jobs because he says he is a Premier manager.

New job a success, big pay rise and glory.

New job a failure, big pay off, bit of TV work, you know the rest.

I know what you mean. Didn't Chelsea pay something like £26 million to sack Ancelotti and his backroom staff and no doubt it will be similar to get rid of AVB. It's crazy money that like. Talk about not living in the real world. They don't even live in the same universe as the rest of us.

    Thing is though.

There are 20 teams in the PL.

    3-4 Fighting for the title.
    6 fighting for top 4
    10 fighting for top 8
10 fighting to avoid the drop

The Only safe managers from the chop are SAF. Wenger and maybe Moyes (and any new managers that have just come in but that can change next season)

So every year, 17 managers could face the sack, because they are not doing as good as they should, undoubtedly, 5-6 will struggle and be in a relegation fight, and if those are not the ones that came up, that chances of the manager surviving is slim.

But 3 HAVE to go down, and be bottom of the pile.

All 4 cant win the title, 6 cant get into the top 4 etc etc, the pressure must be immense, and having 40,000 fans booing and calling for your head must be a nightmare.

Yes they get plenty of cash, not disputing that, but someone somewhere will get the sack, has there ever been a season where not 1 manager has been sacked in the PL? I cant think of one, but then it is 5am and i am that tired i cant even be bothered to google it.

and I agree but my point is them getting the sack and us getting the sack are not the same. You get sacked and it ****s your CV, causes potential financial problems, brings on pressure.

A football manager is sacked and seems to do little harm to reputation, possibly because of the reasons you give, always gets a big pay off and falls straight into some form of income, interviews, articles, pundits, all carry hefty fees.

But that is the difference to me, If we get sacked then we must have ****ed up big time, and been grossly incompetent, we dont really have a job where if others do better, and you do worse (competing against each other), then you are out on your ear like football managers.

Yes the Money is nice, and i dont sympathise at all in that respect, but the pressure must be immense, and lets be honest here, you are relying on others to not get you the sack (the players).

Its probably the only job in the world, where if the "company" is not doing so good, compared to other "companies" in a league table that everyone in the world can see week in week out, the top man (manager) gets the boot, and all the underlings (players, who get paid more than the manager usually) all keep their jobs.
