To come out of playing Cardiff, Birmingham, Burnley and West Ham in quick succession unbeaten, is brilliant. 5 points from a possible 12 may not sound that great but seeing as it's also stopped our promotion rivals from gaining points I'm very very happy with that. Onto Derby now, feeling confident!
Happy with a point, glad it's over. Time to go and spend some time with Boyf - it is Vally Day after all..........
Did slightly better...six points of twelve. And yeah, we now have an opportunity to start building a gap...just have to take it.
Point really does not help, Ok we didn't lose but its just allowed everyone to get closer to us and most have a game in hand. Against 10 men you really should be winning disappointed to be honest.
Must admit I'm disappointed not to win this. I just hope we don't pay for our missed opportunities at the end of the season. Well done boys. The glamour tie is out of the way. Let's make sure we beat Derby.
bit harsh that Alex. To come through our last 4 games unbeaten is a good run. Onwards and upwards now with a good run over the next few games.
And on the back of a shocking, shocking performance against Leicester as well (injuries or no injuries).
West Ham have shown they know how to play with ten men, they're absolutely no pushover. We did well to come back from a goal down, away from home, against the leaders. 4 points off them this season, you'd have taken that wouldn't you?
West ham aren't playing on Saturday so we may well be top of the league. I'd rather have points on the board than have games in hand so i think we should be happy with that. Cardiff have a tricky looking game at Ipswich. All the other 'danger' teams are in the cup. Looks promising.
Absolutely and still think West Ham are possibly the poorest side overall in the top 6. Was that their 20th penalty of the season tonight?! Frantic game, small margins between getting a fantastic win and a good point. It's a good point.... could (should) have been a fantastic win. Great support by the fans.
Had lots of chances. A win would have been fantastic, but a draw coming from behind shows me that we are getting our groove back. A win against Derby would be fantastic. COYR
We should have beaten Cardiff and perhaps West Ham though, could be the difference between autos and play-offs...
Curious to see what Birmingham does for their cup match...it's an away draw against a top Prem team, but their fixture schedule is going to be utterly brutal with their thin squad thanks to their cup run and called-off game. They have eight games in March to our seven, and three to our two to finish out this month; if they finish out the season strong, it will be to their considerable credit. Heh, think I'll hope that they get a replay against Chelsea.
Will take 1 - 1 but what a game. Glad all Saints players managed to stay on the pitch as we need them all. Disappointed for Sharp as he should of scored with his chance but huge let off when CB's switched off and got 2 casual. Fonte's mistake and didn't see player intercept ball and W Ham shooting wide. Plus Hoovers howler giving the ball away in front of goal. Thank god good olde Kelvin was on form. Kept us in the game tonight. I thought that was 2 -1 to them.
Interesting, though not surprising, tweet from SaintsStats: "Saints have the easiest run in of any team in the league: the average pts of their remaining oppo. is 39.6 - WHU's is 43.6"
Would have been nice to win, but importantly we didn't lose. Upton Park isn't an easy place to go and we have a winnable run of upcoming games to grab the ascendancy in no time.
