could it be that that Five Live Extra will take Radio Humbersides commentary ? Five Live boys @ West Ham v Saints
Since paradooda is taking a stand in defending Burnsy and co. I feel I should join him. I always listen to Humberside mainly just because of Burnsy. I find Swanny a bit repititive at times but the rest of them are fine to me (well, the football lot anyway) I don't really see why there's such a fuss about them. Hearing what's going on with Scunny and Grimsby when nothing is going on at City is fine by me too.
I don't mind Burnsy, it was just his off-pitch negativity that I found irritating for a while. Swanny I very rarely have to listen to, as I'm usually at the game. It's Gwilym Lloyd that I want to see kicked repeatedly in the bollocks until he loses the ability to speak.
I like Burnsy, don't mind Swanny too much, but I can't stand Gollum. The thing with him is that none of the supporters of any of the clubs like him, FC did a fans forum a few weeks ago and it wasn't on Humberside because they were going to send him, but FC didn't want his negativity around the place.
Dean Windass was on twitter saying he is "doing the City game with Tim Thornton on the Pulse from 7 tonight" Anyone know what the Pulse is?
http://www.pulse.co.uk/on-air/pulse-sport/pulse-sport/ Don't bother, it seems to be a Bradford thing.
Burnsy and Humberside have their faults but at least when you listen you get the idea that you are listening to a game being played between two teams. We were in West Yorkshire at New Year staying with friends and were listening to Barnsley V Leeds on their local radio. You could hardly tell that a game was being played as, according to our Leeds Utd supporting friends, the commentators only speak when Leeds are attacking! When we listened to the Burnley v Hull game he was convinced that the entire game was played in the Burnley penalty area because Burnsy gave as much importance to Burnley's attacks (or our defence!) as he did City's.
I tell you what, I never thought I would ever say this but I had to turn on to Burnsy after listening to 15 mins of that 5 Live commentary. It was absolute shyte. If you tuned in you wouldnt have known they were commentating on Brum /City. Terrible.
Burns and Swann have twittered on about nothing while five live described the strong build up to a number of attacks so far that I've noticed.
'Commentary on Birmingham City v Hull FC in the Championship' Does it really say that under the stream?
