Whatever we all think. We can all agree that there has not been enough leadership at LFC over the last few months.

Before anyone bites my head off, I'm not slagging Kenny but everyone has strengths & weaknesses. PR is not one if Kenny's.

It's time for control to be taken. I understand why the Owners didn't want to undermine KD initially especially if they believed that their player had not been treated fairly but it's time for proactive direction rather than reactive anger. The latter makes us easy prey to the likes of the FA, Media & Fergie:not talking about conspiracy theories just that these three are quite clearly better at the PR exercise than Kenny.

Let's get Kenny back to what he's at Anfield for; producing a successful football team, not responding to racism drives, or resisting producing negative reactive sound bites.

Let the bloody owners produce the positive sound bites & "mission statements " for the business.

IMO... this is what should've happened.

Kenny Dalglish had every right to back his player if he truly believed he was innocent, as did the whole club. Where they went wrong was with the whole t-shirt circus. That was just going to bring negative attention.

    Strike 1.

After Suarez was found guilty, all he had to say was 'I accept my charge, I didn't mean to cause any racial offence. Even Evra doesn't think I'm a racist, let's just put this behind us and focus on football'. But no, he continued to remain defiant and act like a petulant kid. I'm not saying he didn't have a right to maintain his innocence after the verdict, he acted like the victim and that made him look like even more of a villain.

    Strike 2.

The final straw was not shaking Evra's hand. It's not just the fact he didn't shake it, it's the fact he lied to his own team. If he had simply said before hand there would be no handshake, then neither teams would've bothered with the routine and none of this would've been talked about.

    Strike 3.

It has all been self-inflicted. Suarez and Liverpool only have themselves to blame once he is sold. Do I think this issue has been blown out or proportion? Absolutely. But neither Suarez nor Liverpool helped themselves.

You're re-hashing kunta : for no reason. We've all read your opinions on the matter, might not accept them but gave you the respect of acknowledging them.

This thread is about what our owners do now. Again even though you're not a LFC supporter you're entitled to an opinion on this: otherwise why bother wumming: even you must be bored of saying the same thing & getting the same "F*ck you" twenty times over.

How can I be rehashing when this is what the thread is about? I'm simply giving my opinion of what could've avoided this whole fiasco. I'm far from a wum. If I was, I'd simply insult not606 members with childish insults. All I'm doing is giving my opinion. You have the choice to simply not address it if it bothers you so much.

Shoulda woulda coulda is not what the threads about. Again it's not about changing what can not be changed. I've said that to fellow LFC fans today so I'll say it to you.

If you are not a Wum, make some objective suggestions on where they should go from here? Constructive would be nice.

I'll reserve the right to "ignore" any deliberately incendiary nonsense just like you suggest.

  9. Short of signing two or three black players in the summer (which would no doubt get twisted as racist itself) I don't think there is a lot we can do other than staying out the limelight and letting it pass by. There is always the next big story just around the corner, unfortunately it will all get dragged up again once the Terry / Ferdinand court case arrives.

It's not like the national press to print something that's not true now  The Suarez thing is nearly done now for the press it's run it's course, they have moved on to the Rangers story now and as long as Suarez keep's his head down for the rest of the season he should be o.k.

I noticed while reading this article - http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liver...0252-30328518/ - the one by Barnes (at the side of the main story).

Every time he's had anything to say he speaks articulatley with the benfit of personal experience and showing good insight - the club should get him on their PR team asap!

    I agree with you 100%.

Let's move away from this terrible episode. Kenny is a great football man and I agree that he should never have been asked to deal with this sort of crap. His focus should have been to manage the team not to fend off the media with the right sound bites. I like you feel he should have been better supported by one of the top brass instead of being fed to the wolves.
