Keane, Cantona and Ferdinand were all punished accordingly. The punishments were accepted. None were condoned by Ferguson.

Giggs and Rooney's private life, despite their association with their club, are not the business of the club. While the public might link the two, a football club certainly cannot.

So - we're still no closer to an example of a United payer lying/misleading the club, being condoned by Fergie and being retained as a player.

If it acts against the 'family image of the club', it is a club issue, surely? Regardless of a private life. I can't imagine Fergie didn't know either one. He's been on those two lads since forever, like a second father in Giggs' case, and very protective in Rooney's case. Having it away with your brother's missus is clearly going to distract, and banging two escorts in his pregnant missus' bed is simply a stupid thing to do (was it like he thought he could give them a gagging order by shoving his cock down their throats?
