Bit off topic, but im so so surprised that no club has gone for these 2, they both did so much with so little, if they had taken over from Sven when we were without a manager, i would have been happy.

Not that NP is bad at all mind <ok> him and his team do find some cracking players.

Think Del will be given any money to spend if he stays into the summer?

I for one am really glad we didn't get Dave Jones......

Davies seems good at shouting his mouth off and little else.

Give the manager a break. He has a,squad left from the previous 3 which is why we have such a large useless squad. Any young and up coming manager is a risk but I think if the board get their, finger out and support he,could take us up. Unfortunately we can't compete financially with the west hams and southamptons of this division who have spent to get out the division

Jones always failed when it really mattered, i.e in play off finals, and Derby under Davies were a joke in the Prem..............

Not at all,The manager has been backed with signings by SL yet he says he still wants more. The players are good enough,we have seen it in certain games, but they do not play well consistently hence the precarious position the club finds it's self in.
He has players that are not getting a go,yet we know stead and Pitman can do the business.
I find it strange that he is not giving these guys a go.
Play-offs no chance,we just need to stay up.
Is Del the man I think he still has a lot to proove at championship level.
I just hope he is up to the job,as said St Johnstone is the equivalent to Cheltenham Town or Swindon Town in football terms.

Stupidest thread I've seen on this forum. And that's saying something.

DM knew the position before he got here, he is going nowhere. Look at the facts;-

1). He arrived here with a single priority - keep us up (and better if possible)
2). He knows that we have MANY (16?) players out of contract at the end of the season - even with a reduction in the wage bill, that's probably 6-8 new players depending on how many he retains plus we lose the loanees. Enough to build the core he needs to be successful.
3). He knows the potential of the proverbial "sleeping giant" and you only have to look at what GJ achieved and how we backed him in large numbers on a relative shoestring

This club is DESPERATE for success and whilst the new financial rules are coming, it is phased which gives SL one last chance to invest in getting us to the promised land.

Give this manager a chance to build his own team and it will be in his mould, tough, determined and full of winners desperate to succeed But MOST IMPORTANTLY, it will give DM a chance to build a team that actually plays proper joined up football coupled with a desire to win and better themselves.

DM knows this and that the world is his oyster will be going nowhere - a successful Championship club, especially with a new ground is bigger than most things that Scotland has to offer (no disrespect intended) where the financial situation has been dire since Setanta went tits up....

I don't mind DM wanting to build his own team......what he does need to do is make sure we stay in the championship.......otherwise IMO he's failed.
