Exactly sort of game I thought Pre season we would have been involved in with a third of season remaining. Whatever about west ham, no reason we couldn't have been as good as Southampton. Instead we're stuck playing bottom team, in a meaningless match and an unsure future to say the least. We should have been able to compete with Southampton but I guess writing was on the wall after season opener against them
Not sure the writing was on the wall first game of the season. I think we saw the real AOB against Leicester some weeks ago. Given that we're still leaking goals & O'Dea still won't attack the opposition in front of our goal, will be interesting to see how long it is before Redders replaces O'Dea with either Bruce or AOB. Whatever he does, surely we can hammer Coventry tonight & then beat Donny on Saturday.
Boggers I remember when we played coventry at elland road I predicted 3-0 leeds, They werent the team that I thought they would be, passed the ball solid at the back and they had Rachubka in our goal I wouldnt like to predict anything.
No Leeds United fan should ever be jealous of the likes of West Ham & Southampton, whereas over the last fifty years those two clubs have probably had cause to be jealous of us 95% of the time. It just so happens that this is one of those rare occasions when they are both above us with regards league positions. Normal status will be resumed one day, and everything will be alright in the end. If things aren't great for us at the moment it's because we're not yet at the end.
I said I was jealous of them tonight and its only tonight. To be honest I felt same about Norwich last year. Frustrating to see clubs no bigger than us making such progress while were disimproving
Last 50 years are you having a laugh, Leeds had 10 good years between 1965 and 1975 where you won the Fa cup once the League once and the league cup and a european honour as well, in that time we won the Fa cup twice and the cup winners cup in europe, so not to much difference apart from the league, its about time you Leeds fans realised you wern't that great. Leeds fans know that we cant compete with the wages you are paying your players, we just know we more than competed with you at your place on the field! why don't you do a poll see who people think are a bigger club
Obviously there has been the odd occasion when West Ham have had a better season than Leeds, the odd cup here & there, but when I said the last fifty years or so I was talking about league positions and the fact still remains that 95% of the time West Ham have finished lower than Leeds United. West Ham's highest ever finish is 3rd, achieved only once, their next best finish is 6th. Leeds have finished in the top five no fewer than 18 times in the last 47 seasons. Envious of West Ham's current position maybe. Jealous of West Ham's overall standing in the game compared to Leeds? Not at all. When the Hammers have become English Champions three times, have played in European Cup Finals & Champions League Semi Finals, or even finished above third, come back to me. At least you're bigger and had more success than Southampton, I'd be happy with that if I was you.

the reality is that teams like leeds dont have the players or resources to keep up with the likes of west ham, saints, and cardiff, you can blame who you want, i havnt heard of many of your players, in order to compete with us money needs to be spent, but if the money isnt there then you need to stop having such expectations, its unfair on the players who may not be good enough, but are giving their all
The money is there, it's just that a certain someone refuses to put enough of it into the playing side of the club, which is ranked bottom of a list of 17 internal club departments by his own admission. A good point for once. I'm sick of people blaming the players when our squad is actually punching above its weight this season. I thought we had a playoff standard squad last season, but I've come to the realization that most managers would probably guide this squad to a finish somewhere between 12th-16th.
Fair enough, but the gripe most Leeds fans have is that our player are not giving their all or even half of it. All any footie fan expects is 100% total commitment and if results don't go our way then so be it. What we will not accept is players pulling on the famous white shirt and just going through the motions
I havent heard of many Cardiff players, and they will bottle it in play offs for us all to laugh at again
I can't think of many games this season where the players haven't put the effort in. They are committed, but don't have the ability to be consistently good. Even at the Brighton and Birmingham games, the players were still chugging away after the games were plainly lost. They're not the ones at fault here.
Credit where it's due, at least West Ham have a history, but Cardiff ffs! What have they EVER done? FA Cup winners 1927 wasn't it? And also, err, no.....that's it.
