could this game be the turning point for our away form? lets hope so, and bring back points to the south coast
I actually thought West Ham played quite well when they came down here. They might not have played the most attractive football ever, but I certainly got the feeling that we were in a game and were being made to work our socks off.
I was surprised how predictable the Hammers were after we scored at SMS the second half became hoofball in the general direction of Carew and Jos won pretty much everything that night. The key will be in frustrating them early on and then imposing our passing game on them as time wears on . I know West Ham fans generally are not happy with Sams approach in spite of their position at the top and those east end boys soon let you know it if things dont go well and if we can disgruntle the home fans we could win we certainly have the style and players to hurt them and if Ricky in particular is in the kind of form he was in saturday he will cause them all sorts of problems
It was a battle, but personally I thought they were pretty terrible to be honest. They played like a league one team, and to be honest that might be giving them too much credit. With the players they have, they should be exciting to watch and play decent football, but in reality they did just hoof it up to the big men. Can't argue with the end product though, they are top of the league. But I know who I would rather watch week in, week out. Got a good feeling about tomorrow. I think we will be bang up for it like we were on Sat. 0-2 Will do please lads!
I think with a full strength team we should be able to get something, but my confidence has been knocked recently (like the players?), so I'm going for a hopeful 2-2 draw...then again I would believe again if we sneaked it.....!
Nah we've had our turning point,4 points from our last 2 away games and 2 clean sheets! Fancy us bigtime tonight! Can't see why all the fear of west ham,i don't fear them at all! Think if we play like we can we'll win quite comfortably.
West Ham is the calibre of team we must be beating next year in the Premiership - lets start now! 0 - 3
I have an issue here. I'm not going tonight, but every time I listen to commentary on us on 5 Live, we lose. Shall I take one for the team and not listen this evening??
It's worth noting that West Ham haven't won at home on a Tuesday night in the league yet this season! In fact - their Tuesday night record (Home AND Away) so far is W1 D1 L4 Saints record is W4 D1 L0
Nice stats, but stats are there to be broken. We went all year winning at home and then in our last few games drew and then lost. I'd like to say whoever want's it the most will win, and I hope it comes down to that rather than a dodgy referee decision...unless its in our favour of course
Yes, stats are there to be broken, hence why I'll listen on the radio this evening (though I take full responsibility for any loss)......
