I've been a Spurs supporter to long to be a glory hunter, I breathe easier once we get 40 points, the rest is a bonus. These last 20 years have been have been tough to take. When I started watching Spurs, when I was knee high to a grasshopper, Woolwich wanders were our inferiors, as are they now! thank what ever diety you happen to follow.
And thanks for the welcome. COYS

  4. Welcome, Slaphead57!

Somehow, what with your name, this <doh> seems to be highly appropriate, but as I usually reserve that symbol for Chav & 'Pool wums, I feel a bit heartless using it on you, mate!

  6. I rather suspected that was the case!

    And I'm betting that "57" isn't referring to your chest-size <laugh>

    My pleasure <ok>

Another one of the Faithful is always a welcome, here.

Been a Spurs fan since that great night in 1984.....I was 8 yrs old and was allowed to stay up late to watch the match by my old man, who was never an avid follower of football, but supported Spurs because he grew up and went to school with the great Pat Jennings.
Been totally hooked since...my own 2 sons are both huge Spurs fans.

Ive been checking out this forum and indeed the old bbc 606 for a long time and this thread has pushed me to be more than a voyeur!!!

My first away game watching Spurs outside London was a cup tie against Doncaster, which we won 2-0.
I was surprised in later years to find out the Doncaster center half giving Bobby Smith a hard time was none other than "me old flower" himself, comedian Charlie Williams!
Man I was a baby then.........!!!!

Alright guys! Figured I'd use this thread as a chance to get involved as I've been lurking for a little while now....
Grew up in Essex in a family who all had no real interest in football at all, but my Dad was a Man City fan back in the day and appreciated it was a rite of passage to go to your first game with your old man so he took me to a Spurs v City game at some point in the early 1990s (genuinely can't remember the year) as WHL was one of the closest Premiership grounds to where we lived. Been hooked ever since, but sadly my budget doesn't stretch to me making too many games these days.

I knew I had the right shirt Saturday. Replica 60/61 Double Champions white shirt. Spurs are 5-0-0 this year when I wear it. But I feel like I can't burn it out...funny how you actually believe this makes a difference.

Yeah, great name for a team, makes me think of a couple of favorite team names:

The Mathletes (Math Department intramural team--brilliant plan to make the other team feel bad about running up the score.)

Viking Death Rats (I ust like it).

And my favorite of all time, easily--I'm involved in robotics and robotics kids competitions--It was a team of 10-13 year old girls with toy Lego robots, who called themselves...

    The Hellfish of Doom.

Haha they're class. This was for an interdepartmental staff tournament at Uni. We've gone with FC Copenbadly this year.
Materials Science are Acrylate Stanley which is pretty good in my eyes, and Mechanical Engineering have gone with Bayer Canti-Leverkusen...
