I honestly don't recall anyone from the SFA or the press predicting that Scottish Football would die without Celtic when we were 2 days from oblivion.
I've not heard anybody from the SFA or the press predicting it now either. But then, I don't pay much attention.

One thing out of all of this, is that I have to retract some of my previous criticism of the Celtic board. Time and time again I along with other fans wanted them to splash that wee bit of extra cash to help strengthen the team. As has been shown in recent days, even when rangers were "skint" in the last few years, they were still spending as much as us, straight from their overdraft. All this while we sorted out our debts to much more manageable levels, and have also managed to strengthen the team now as well. So kudos to the board for once, considering today's events is exactly where we would be too if we had follow followed the example of our bluenose friends across the city...
Going to be interesting to see how worse SPL/ Scottish football becomes if Rangers go under. Celtic winning everything, even less people will be interested in Scottish football, less money, big dip in Euro Coefficients, less teams able to qualify for Europe, Celtic getting knocked out of CL qualifiers time and time again. Yep SPL football looks nice and rosy without Rangers. Rangers get what they deserve if they go under mind, shame it's not Celtic.
