http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln2zm5V7GhU Its so sad the lad never had a chance in life. Murdered February 12th 1993 RIP SLEEP TIGHT JAMES YOUR TIME WILL COME WHEN THE TWO LOW LIFES WHO TOOK YOU AWAY FROM YOUR FAMILY WILL ANSWER TO YOU MAY YOU SHOW THEM MORE MERSEY THAN THEY SHOWED YOU
i remember it well, my lad was the same age as James at the time and when i saw the documentary with the 2 murderers being interviewed in the police cells i wanted to be sick, in fact i couldn't get it out of my head and the next morning i was on my way to work i was so upset i had to turn back and go back home. R.I.P. James and i hope them 2 rot and die a horrible death
The problem I have with this is that the lads who done it were just bairns themselves....What I would like to know is what on earth drove them to do what they did...I would imagine that this question will torture all the relatives of all the parties concerned until the day they die...
Great post RAW. It's easy to merely condemn the two lads who committed the crime but there were two crimes committed that day. The tragic and heartbreaking death of a toddler and the reasons that two 10 year old boys did what they did. Both things chill the heart imo. I don't know how you would ever get over losing your child and I don't know what makes a cold blooded killer out of a child.
Where did two young lads see things, to give them idea's of such acts on a toddler....this crime was shocking in it's brutality....from nothing more than bairns.
My boy is 7 years old - he wouldn't even hurt a spider (rather than flush them or stand on them he'd catch them and put them outside the house) - so how 2 lads who were (at the time) only 3 years older than him came to do the things they did is far beyond my comprehension. RIP Jamie - can't believe that it's 19 years since this happened
Me neither but they shoved sticks up the wee lads bottom before they killed him. As far as I'm concerned they can burn.
this, and they threw paint in his eyes while he was screaming for his mum, ****ing hell i'm with you on this 1 bill, hope they burn in hell
Billy I'm neither excusing or forgiving the two perpetrators of this heinous act but I'm extremely confused and concerned that two 10 year olds were of the frame of mind to have done this. What happened in their sad troubled life to make them that way in the first place? Where were their parents to give them the love, respect and guidance in their early years. Me and my wife split up when my daughter was only 2 but she has still been raised with a moral and disciplined upbringing. She is loved and cherished and is a million miles from these 2 kids were. Why does no one ask where their parents were during all this, as they failed completely as well?
Most kids become violent when they have been abused themselves. It is a vicious cycle. The people who should burn are the ones who turned the 2 ten year olds in to what they are. The 2 kids who did it should be locked up (for life) unless it can be proved they are now mentally healthy. Not sure how you do that though.
One of the darkest incidents I've ever been involved with in my time working down here.Still haunts me to this day
