Financially or for any other reason. The death of Rangers would have no material effect on Celtic and Celtic would flourish.

I wonder if his close pal (Stuart Regan) agrees?

    I'll bet he does.

Oh well, if Peter says they have a robust financial plan in place should Rangers cease then it must be true. <ok>

Without Rangers the league would be more competitive and it frees up another European spot. Any revenue lost from having you cave dwellers visit their grounds will be offset by increases in attendances and a decrease in insurance and security costs <ok>

If there were no old firm to halt other clubs success don't you think ticket sales would go up

Besides you can't travel to London for every chelsea home game

Robust financial planning that is. Now subtract gate money you lose from no OF games. Then subtract what you lose in TV money and sponsorship from having no OF. But, dinny worry, Peter has planned for that <ok>

Then watch the other teams in the league suffer losses for the same reasons.

    Spiral downward begins.

Already said gate money would increase when other clubs saw some success.

Hearts, Kilmarnock and Motherwell would see a combined increase in fans by approximately 50000 between them

Celtic will move to pastures new

And whose fault will it ultimately be. That's right Rangers Football Club and David Murray in particular. No sympathy if you go down the tubes. Most would actually welcome it to be fair. Paying the price for living outwith your means.

Rangers go bust, Scotland loses coefficient points from last 5 seasons. The massive majority of these points were accumulated by Rangers.

Without the points Rangers gained, Scotland would probably be on a level with Estonia for number of European places. The winner of the SPL would be entered at the 1st qualifying round of the Champions League and probably be unseeded.

Hope Lawwell has budgeted for zero European football <doh>

You're seriously deluded if you think any **** is interested in Scottish fitba sans the OF. No product = No money.

I canny disagree with whose fault it is.

Doesn't change the simple economics: No OF = no product = no money.
